“I thought this hotel was fantastic overall. The staff was friendly; the room was very nice and quite high-tech (which was cool).”

“Excellent 4* hotel, close to Gatwick. However, shuttle only runs once an hour. From Gatwick, easy to take train 2 stops to crawly, walk north along the platform (i.e. Walk backwards), then ring bell to get access to hotel.”

“I would not class this property as an Airport Hotel or 4 Stars. My problem was with the hotel. There is no shuttle service from the airport. The small van they have has to be precooked once you are at Gatwick and runs on once per hour! The van also stops at 10pm. I came out from London at midnight on the Gatwick Express and had to buy another train ticket to Crawley and wait 40 minutes on a empty train platform. At Crawley I was on an open platform at 1AM in the rain with 2 suitcases. There are no trolleys or porters only stairs. At that point I could see the hotel, but there are no signs on how to get there to a small gate at the very end of the train platform. The next day, the van returning to Gatwick is on a first come basis and was already booked. It is a $30 cab ride to get back to the airport.”

“We asked for a bellman to help with our luggage the morning of departure and the girl at the front desk pointed to the trolley and said we could take it our selves? Ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast, table was sticky, told the server and they "shrugged" their shoulders. Understood this was an airport hotel, after arriving at the Aurora airport hotel, were told we were at the wrong one, had to pay a cab 21 pounds to get to another Aurora hotel 15 minutes away. Very frustrating after a long trip. ”

“We got a total steal in this hotel. If you need transportation from Gatwick to the Aurora call the hotel two days in advance to arrange for their free shuttle. You will pay at least $40 for the round trip on your own in bus or cab fairs. I would also recommend go the Is Italian restaurant a good 15 minute walk away (some of the best Italian food we have ever had).”

“Nice hotel... a little out of the way. Staff is polite but they didn't make any effort to compensate for problem with hotel reservations or airport transfers that occurred through no fault of our own.”

“The hotel was very nice, but I was traveling with my 78 year old mother in a wheelchair. The web site says the hotel is accessed right from the train station, platform 2. It is, but there were no signs on the outside of the building. The access gate, when we found it, was locked and had stairs. There was an intercom to the front desk at the gate and they sent a young man right away who helped us up the stairs. The room was very nice although the hotel is right on the train line. It didn't bother us, but just to let you know, it can be a little noisy if people are bothered by that. The front desk staff were very nice, but they insisted on charging the room to my credit card even though I had already paid. I walked into town (about 3 blocks to shops and restaurants) through a nice residential area. Took a taxi back to Gatwick in the morning.”

“The advertised airport transfer did not exist nor was a courtesy contact number available. I waited 40 minutes and then had to reclimb flights of stairs to find a phone and having just arrived without British sterling, had to find an exchange to obtain money to do so. It cost me 15 pounds to take a cab. The reception staff was poor. An automatic 50 pound surcharge was placed on the room to cover any expenses that I might charge to the room even though the hotel had my credit card info weeks in advance. I certainly felt there was no trust in this hotel. Many things in the room were not working( kettle and hairdryer). The billing information could not be displayed on the TV. No speedy check out I was told that there was no space left in the van for the morning return to the airport and I would have to take a very early transfer. I became very annoyed and finally it was agreed to arrange another van. When I took the van, the driver had a friend in the front with him whose conversation was obviously more important than his job. When we arrived at the airport, he did not get out of the van and started to drive away...with my luggage. I had to run after the van to pound on the window to get him to stop. I obviously feel that as an airport transfer hotel this one was the worst I have ever experienced. ”

“This hotel hit the mark with 4 stars. It was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. It was high tech, comfortable, clean, modern and the staff had very good customer service. I would highly recommend this hotel even the President of USA or the queen of England.”

“A bit difficult to find. If you are driving be warned that their parking lot cannot accommodate many cars and street parking is a nightmare. The hotel itself is great. Would definitely stay there again. Fantastic room and very comfy bed with those clean duvets. I wish all American hotels would switch to duvets instead of those bedspread which are only cleaned once a year.”

“This hotel while clean lacks with service. The staff is very young, almost as if they used this hotel to train for other hotels in the system. The transport sticks to a schedule. On two separate occasions I had to wait 30 to 45 minutes to be picked up at the airport. The staff did not offer information regarding how the bus worked and that you had to book your trip. My overall trip to the UK was great except for this experience. I thought the staff was rude and not accomodating not only to me but to other guest. That is to say with one exception.Should I get to the UK again, I would not want to stay with this hotel again.”
