“Although the hotel is well situated in downtown Montreal. The service was just horrible. It took an eternity to be served at the reception. The service was unfriendly and abrupt when we were finally able to find someone to help us.”

• Easy to get downtown and close to Football Stadium.
• Elevator is slow.

• Very unclean rooms, rude staff, hotel on strike.

“Hotel staff was on strike as of August 2008. Therefore, the rooms are not clean, by any definition. I saw three rooms before setting on one. One had some stains on the wall, the other had crumbs swept under the bed (one could make a meal based on the amount of food under there, smelled bad too), and the third didn't have a working air conditioner, but was clean and relatively quiet. I valet my car, and each and every time I called down to the desk, the reception stated that the car would be ready in 5-10 minutes. Each and every time I received my car, it took anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour. I asked a member of the hotel staff about the delay and was told that the valet service is made of sub-contractors, approximately 18-25 years old, with no experience. Further, the exterior of the hotel is falling apart. The foundation is exposed and one can see numerous holes in the ground where animals have been digging. Next door to the hotel is the local homeless shelter. Overall, this hotel is a slum and shames the Sheraton name greatly. I do not recommend this hotel in any form or fashion and have called Starwood and made several complaints.”

• Ceiling in room was in disrepair from being water-logged.

• Lack of restaurant! No pool on site?

“Overall the hotel was fine. Great location! Lacked a real restaurant or lounge which would have been great. Pool services were only available across a busy street.”

• Location close to all amenities.
• Had to change rooms, toilet and tub needed fixing.

“The location was excellent, the restaurant was not currently opened but there was an adjacent restaurant right there, the rooms were large and spacious, very quiet and peaceful, the only complaint was the first room that we were given - the tub water took forever to drain, and the toilet rubber stop needed replacing, but they did change our rooms and then all was fine.”

• Spacious room, upgrade good value for money. Fun Jacuzzi!
• Lifts a little slow.

• Clean, close to most of the important things in Montreal.
• They didnt supply us with adaptors the first couple of days, so we couldnt charge our cell phones.

“It is a good hotel with an excellent location and a friendly staff. It has a 24/7 business center with internet and a printer. I totally recommend this hotel. You probably would enjoy it.”

• Central, great view, friendly front desk, truly fast internet.
• Small number of pc's in conference room.

• The location was excellent for enjoying down town Montreal. The price was reasonable for the service and location.
• The restaurant had a great view of the street but the service and food was not as good as we would have liked.

“Lovely rooms in centrally located hotel in down-town Montreal. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to leave our car and enjoy the city from such a great spot.”
