• One very competent receptionist.

“Other than one receptionist who was exceptionally good, the place is a shambles. When we arrived at 9.30pm the hotel was in darkness and I had to summon the night porter to unlock the front door. The bar was closed and shuttered with no assist with bags. Breakfast was a comedy of errors, 10 tables, 4 occupied by people, 6 occupied by dirty plates. Stood waiting for 10 minutes to be seated, got bored waiting and cleared and re-laid own table. Took 10 minutes to take order for a pot of tea, another 15 for it to arrive. Others waited over 30 minutes for cooked breakfast to arrive and when it did it was the wrong order twice. Midweek, the hotel aims for business travelers but has no broadband internet available - only a ridiculously expensive and slow dial up connection. Definitely won't be going back.”
