• The hotel was in a great location in the historic district.
• The bathroom shower had black mold on the tiles. The parking was a nightmare!

“The hotel was historic and in a great Toronto location near public transportation. The staff was friendly and provided valuable advise about trips, restaurants, and local events. The parking however, was a nightmare. Valet parking is expensive, as are private or city lots.”

• We were able to walk to all of the major attractions in the area.
• There was no self-parking.

“Toronto is a wonderful place to visit, and I would recommend this hotel. The location gave us walking access to many restaurants and also the Rogers Centre.”

• Comfortable luxury in a location convenient for business and leisure.
• The lighting and mirror placement could be improved to put on makeup.

• The historic ambiance of the hotel. The helpful and competent staff.
• No coffee maker in the room. Valet parking was full.

“Great classy hotel with an historical feel. Grand entrance with a helpful concierge at the entrance. The hotel with the most comfortable beds! Our room was confirmed with one queen. I had asked the front desk if it was possible to have a room with two beds. Two beds weren't available; however they upgraded our room for a king (free) without hesitation.”

• It was ok.
• They told us they couldn't accommodate us because we had kids but ended up giving us a room with two cots.

“At first we were upset because they said they could not accommodate our kids. We had 2 adults and 2 kids. They gave us a suite with a king size bed and out 2 cots in the room for the kids. I was upset that my kids did not have a bed to sleep on. I thought they could have made better arrangements for us.”

• It was beautiful and very clean.
• Elevators slow and in short in supply.

“I found the hotel was historic, beautiful and very clean. The room and bathroom were huge with a partial water view. There were five weddings that weekend, yet we still mattered. I would stay there again.”

• The location is perfect for the Subway and tourist attractions.
• Kind of a bland experience, nothing bad but nothing spectacular.

“It's very clean, perfect location and friendly staff. Nothing was wrong with it, it's just that there is nothing striking or exciting about it that would make me want to come back the way some interesting boutique hotels might or a specialized hotel elsewhere.”

• How old it was, I loved it.
• The people at the front desk should be faster.

“The hotel is great, big rooms, classic. Close to great places to eat but still outside the main entertainment part of the city. A great stay for sure.”
