  • Excellent location for shopping, theater and dining; staff very helpful with directions.
  • The gym was quite small and the bathroom could use a makeover.

“For the price I paid it was very worthwhile staying here we had a very quiet room with a great view of the lake the staff was friendly and helpful.”

  • Excellent downtown location, historic building, well maintained for 100+ years old.
  • Queen size bed was actually a double (we measured) and this reduced sleep comfort.

“The King Eddie is a historic hotel located in the heart of downtown Toronto. John Lennon and Yoko Ono once stayed here while in Toronto. For 100+ years old, the hotel is well maintained. The rooms offer nice vistas and are reasonably well furnished. Our bed was comfortable, but it was small (a double was provided instead of a Queen). There was no pool. Otherwise, we had a great stay. The Richtree Market Restaurant (formerly Movenpick Marche) and the Hockey Hall of fame are just a short walk from the hotel.”

  • Location.
  • The bed.

“I now realize four star hotels have lousy rooms. Avoid the bed in Room 1407. 1.51 for a local call.”

  • Old world decor and ambiance was interesting.
  • The $40 per night parking was a shocker.

“Has a touch of class. The concierge was helpful. Wouldn't do it on a budget.”

  • Upscale.
  • The odd repair to be done once off the main floor.

“Very solid for the money, luxury hotel.”

  • Location! It's near everything.
  • The $40 for valet parking was too much.

  • location and room
  • no pool. I expected with a 4 star hotel that there would be one

“nice room and a great locationNo coffee maker, newspaper in the morning or pool. I would expect all of these things from a 4 star hotel”

  • Location.
  • For a 4 star hotel, the bed was horrible.

“The staff were very friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, this did not overcome the fact that the room was average at best - dark with only a small window, poor view, the bed was saggy and not comfortable at all.”

  • Presentation.
  • I have no room available for me which they could have informed me before I got there, no parking was available for the guests, valet parking $40 extra.

“Never to book a Motel downtown even if it is free or 50% off, too much of a hassle for parking.”

  • Beautiful interior.
  • Small rooms.

“Gorgeous hotel. Although the hotel is over 100 years old, it has been restored and kept up such that it is really a hidden gem in downtown Toronto.”

  • The room was modern, lobby was classy and
    great staff.
  • I don't think it had a pool.

“I had a great stay. Classy and sophisticated. I would recommend this place more for adults than families.”
