“Out of tourist area but at end of red line so it's easy start point for touring.”

“This is a bit too far from Paris. There is absolutely nothing in the area after 5 pm on weekdays and even less on weekends. The hotel restaurant was closed on Saturday night.”

“This hotel was a delightful haven to return to after a busy day. There was lots of hot water, a nice strong shower, and a big comfortable bed. Though it might have been nice to be closer to the center of Paris, I appreciated the hotel's cleanliness and efficiency. The proximity of a grocery store, bakery, and RER station made it very accommodating. The staff was gracious. If I return to Paris, I will probably stay here again.”

“The hotel was clean and very close to subway exit, though a bit out of the center of the city. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful even though I didn't speak French. (I had heard rumors the Parisians were not so friendly to non-French speakers.)”

“The rooms were very clean, nice, and the hotel is right on the RER line which will take you into the city in nine minutes. Pros: Safe, Clean, Nice Staff, On top of the RER line, Nanterre is a great little town with some restaurants right outside of the hotel, a Franprix which is a little cheap grocery story, a bread shop, and a tabac. Cons: the only problem we had was we had to switch rooms because this hotel is in two buildings and one closes on the weekends so the switched us.”

“The check-in staff was helpful and accomodating. Rooms were furnished more nicely than the average European 3* hotel, and the room's climate control system worked well. The suburban location of the hotel was counterbalanced by the quietness of the neighborhood and the excellent proximity to a rail station. We were very pleased with our stay here.”

“I woke in the morning to 2 inches of water in my bathroom and no electricity - TERRIBLE”

“Service was pleasant and helpful, next door to the subway (RER)- but a ways out. Room was good -about a 3* in USA. Would stay there again. Bakery and grocery store next door as well as a few resturants.”

“This hotel has an extremely convenient placement among a market, pastry shop, sandwich shop and Italian restaurants. However, I wish I had known that it was just one stop outside the city zone for the metro stations. It was still cheaper than staying in the city, but we had to buy special tickets that would put us on suburban trains...just to go ONE stop past the zone. We still saved money, the staff was friendly and bi-lingual, and the hotel was very quiet...something you DON'T get in downtown Paris--I've stayed both places.”

“Overall, this hotel is nice esp for the price I paid for. Location is a little bit off but its only 10 minutes away from Champ D'Elysee via RER. Staff is helpful and great. Amenities at Hotel Mercure La Defense Parc, Nanterre
