• Quietness and privacy of the rooms and suites.
• If you don't like keeping fit then maybe the stairs would be a negative.

“We loved staying at the Novotel as we wanted somewhere private and quiet that we could escape to after being down in the busy and noisy main area of Patong. The Novotel is spread out over quite a few acres of lovely tropical gardens and provides just that. It is only about 20 minutes walk along the beach to Patong's main area. They have the best buffet breakfast plus 3 restaurants to choose from if you want to eat at the hotel. The staff was so friendly and we couldn't fault the service. Our room was clean and was quite spacious with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. There are 3 pool areas to choose from so plenty of space to just relax. We would certainly recommend the Novotel to our friends and would stay there again.”

• Beautiful rooms, turn down service.
• Up a hill, and slightly away from the main part of town therefore you will need to hire a cab, or walk about 15 minutes to experience the nightlife.

“Overall we enjoyed it. Beautifully decorated room, pool was stunning as was the view. A minus included the desk in our room smelled of vomit. I don't know if the prior occupants threw up over the desk and into the garbage, but the stench did linger around the desk area.”

• Great breakfast buffet and wonderful views.
• The amount of stairs and climbing necessary just to get around the resort.

“One of the few hotels directly on the beach at the far end of Patong Beach. To reach the hotel requires climbing over 150 steps followed by a steep hill to get the private rooms. This is a very tiring exercise in hot weather and impossible in the rain.

The 3 levels of swimming pools and public areas are beautiful but the rooms are showing signs of age and need refurbishment. ”
