• The hotel was ugly on the outside & location wasn't great, but the room was pretty nice & bed was comfy.
• The parking garage was far & cost too much. The hotel was very ugly on the outside.

“The hotel is inconveniently located. The parking garage is in the next building which was a pain. On top of it we had to pay $15.00/day for to park there. They said it was due to construction. In my opinion they should wave the parking fee to accommodate their customers. The only positive was that the room was surprisingly nice. You could tell it had been newly remolded. Had a flat screen & nice comfortable bed. Good continental breakfast too.”

• The price.
• Dirty, twin sized beds, door lock broken, no security, poor TV reception and charge for local calls.

“Very basic hotel, dirt balled up in the corners, the lock on the balcony door was broken. We had to take all of our valuables with us as the "in room" safe was too small. I had to ask for my credit card carbon at discharge. Sometimes it would take 5 minutes for the hot water to finally get to the room. One small very slow elevator for 10 floors. Very noisy early in the mornings.”

• Very clean and neat. Not like the mainland, but very comfortable.
• No hair dryer or coffeemaker but very acceptable for Hawaii.

“Not quite used to the primitive place but quite nice. Lovely location with Hugh fish in a pond. Room was very clean.”

• Cheap.
• Noisy, too much light in room at night, old, needs refurbished.

“Bad views, all rooms had a smoky smell, would not stay there again considering the internet price was only seven dollars more.”

• Lowest price in Honolulu.
• No Parking. Parking only for $10 at next-door motel.

“We circled Ala Moana highway around the hotel for three times before we gave up trying to find the entrance. Notice needs to be given in the introduction to inform travelers that a traveler must park in at the hotel next door.”

• Nice attentive staff.
• Commode leaked and too much street traffic noise from the 6 floor.

“Excellent place to stay good clean and no bugs, cleaned nicely everyday and restocked, just no extra coffee was given after first day.”

• It was close to Ala Moana.
• The check in person did not know how to use the credit card machine and demanded cash.

“The location was great. The air conditioner leaked, but otherwise the room was ok, no blow dryer, no iron.”

• For the money the location was good.
• Rooms smelled like smoke, loud air conditioning.

“It's a very basic hotel (hence 1 star). Check in time was a little late 3 to 3:30 p.m. No phones to use for free with a calling card. Rooms were spacious, moderately clean, and in okay shape. The air conditioning was too loud to sleep. The staff wasn't the most friendly but turned out to be quite helpful when I missed my shuttle bus at 3:30 a.m. The shuttle bus from the airport only stops across the street, which makes it kind of difficult with lots of luggage. Going to the airport the shuttle picks you up in front of the door (don't be late for though, they don't wait). Taxi to airport costs around 20 dollars. It's about a 10 minute walk to Waikiki beach which is okay. I think they have a pool (stuck between two high buildings). I didn't use it though. Bottom line is 'you get a basic hotel for not too much money'. Don't expect too much Hawaiian holiday feeling though.”

• Had washer & dryer in garage.
• Pool dirty, sink clogged and never repaired, beds never made in 3 night stay.

“At check out we were presented with erroneous phone charges made from our room while we were at Pearl Harbor the whole day. Hotel lobby is hard to get to from garage flight of stairs no elevator from garage to lobby. Rooms not cleaned daily.”
