“Would not stay at this hotel again. Staff was unfriendly and rooms were not clean as the other hotels I've stayed in during this trip. Also, staff did everything to add to the cost of my stay. Don't buy parking from them, you can find it a lot cheaper than $20/day.”

“This was supposed to be a 2 star hotel, didn't think it was a 1 star. We asked for more pillows, the ones in the room where so small they almost didn't exist, we never got them. Asked for an iron and ironing board, had to go get them ourselves and the board was just that, a portable board you had to put on a table. I have stayed in a lot of cheaper hotels, but this was one of the worst.”

“For the money, it was fine. The young lady at the desk was awesome. The maids were also great (don't forget to tip!) And they even washed our dishes. The restaurant is worth passing up.”

“Hotel was very old, rooms needed to be updated. Sheets were very old, and the bed was very uncomfortable. It was in a bad neighborhood. Overall experience was very bad.”

“Staff did their job but not with aloha. Parking only temporary to drop off luggage, but location is conveniently located to shopping but not to the beaches. Bathroom needs complete overhaul and needs to be bigger. The sink was like a bar sink, the stall shower unimpressive and old, and the toilet was low even for my 4'8" friend!”

“This hotel is perfectly located for those visiting Waikiki. It's clean and well cared for with a surprisingly nice pool downstairs. The view from my room was wonderful and I think many of the rooms were blessed in that way. The suites are very spacious and comfortable. Even though they're clean, however, they need new paint and wall paper, especially in the bathroom of my unit. Still, there's very little to complain about at the Hokele Suites.”

“My wife and I should have spent a little more money and gotten a better hotel. The hotel is more like a seedy motel. The room was decent sized, but the bathroom was way too small. The sink is so small, I splashed water all over the floor trying to brush my teeth. The parking is not good, small spaces between concrete poles. Took forever to park, and to exit the garage. There are only a few spaces available anyways, and I was lucky to get a parking pass. You don't want to park on the street, it is a bit scary at night, but if you can't get a pass, they will tow your car. But the worst part of staying here is the smell. There is a lounge by the dirty swimming pool, and you can smell the cigarette smoke at night, even with all your doors closed. Imagine waking up in the morning, to the smell of deep-fried food being cooked by people in the tenement right across from your room. If you want to save a few bucks, the place is real bare-bones, but I would recommend spending a couple hundred more bucks and upgrade.”

“clean and housekeeping kept rooms well stocked w/ towels not easily accesible as to parking facility you only had one entrance and to get to the garage you had to walk around to the sloped driveway to get into the basement(hotel was apparently built before disability act was in effect.”

“Overall the building is very old but the room is huge except for the narrow bathroom. It's a good choice if you have a tight budget. Also the hotel staffs there were very nice to us.”

“This hotel was pathetic. I stayed at the hotel for 8 days and was on the waiting list for parking a month before arrival, but never received any. Maybe it was because there are only 10 stalls. Therefore, I had to park down the street and through an alley. Keep in mind I was traveling alone as a 36 year old lady. My towels looked stained, and the tile was coming off in the shower. No bath tub. No water pressure, so I had to wash my hair in the kitchen sink. The bathroom sink was from the fifties and the water spout only came out one inch from the side of the basin. The sliding glass doors are old and heavy and you can't see through the biveled glass. Good thing, because their were scary people living in the apartment directly across from my room staring at the hotel everytime I looked out. Creepy!!! The pool was clean in the morning, but filthy by 9am. The pool is also smaller than expected. People in the room next to me came in at 4:30 am swearing and yelling and smoking, I'm in a non-smoking room. The noise lasted an hour. The carpet was dirty.”
