• Beautiful beach, easy access, low cost water toys.
• $27 Breakfast in hotel restaraunt was less fresh than a Denny's Grand Slam for $3.99.

“Great location, lovely facility, friendly staff. Good for the resort (Disneyland like) experience. But eat offsite -the food was awful and expensive.”

• Just magnificent!! EVERYONE was wonderful, kind and friendly!! Great atmosphere.
• Can't say anything bad about this hotel.

“Greeted by our names from all the staff. Very clean, great location, pools were just wonderful and the beach is awesome. Cant ask for a better place to stay on the Big Island of Hawaii. Daily and nightly dinner and drink specials were fabulous!!”

• Beautiful hotel with great beach. Dining was delicious! Wonderful vacation spot!

“This is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful beach. We at breakfasts, lunches, and dinners at their restaurant and loved it each time. Staff was very friendly. Our flight did not leave until after 9:00 pm, and after we checked out, we were extended a hospitality room (which was just another hotel room - no charge at all) for one hour later that day in which we could shower and get ready - a welcome treat after spending the day in the ocean.”

• The gal who checked me in was exceptional...very nice..upgraded my room too!
• Congested pool area, beach berm was not very attractive.

“I loved the decor/lanai. I did not like the casual food choices. No place to get just a good sandwich for lunch or breakfast on the go. I did not like the lack of pool chairs and how they were crammed together. I did not like the beach berm. Saana checked me in and was really great. I had been traveling for 36 hours due to flight problems and missed my first day of check in so she gave me an ocean view room with a balcony plus a hug! The other staff was not quite with it when they locked me out of my room and I had to wait in line in my wet swimsuit for them to give me a new key to my room.”

• The food at the restaurant was inconsistent - self parking a bit inconvenient (location).

• Restaurant food was over priced and only one restaurant in the hotel.

• Hot tub.
• Extra $20 per day for 1 drink; lousy unchanged menu.

“Too expensive for food and drinks - most guests eat out. $150 2-hour sunset cruise-watered down drinks, choppy sea, lousy piece of chicken with lettuce flying all around the boat, bad choice, etc. Hotel was fine -amenities lousy.”

• Great pool area.
• Overpriced food, not a very nice beach by Hawaii standards.

“A nice hotel that has all of the resort feature boxes checked off. There is also convention facilities here. The beach is not very nice, but they do have some sailing trips that leave right from the hotel beach. There were some Sea Turtles on the beach to watch. The pool is a nice infinity pool and great for cooling off. There is a separate kiddy pool, but the older kids will all be in the adult pool. You will be charged $20/day which included internet, snorkel rental, parking and some free Mai Tai coupons. Don't waste your money on the hotel food, there are some good restaurants in the shopping plaza up the road.”

• Friendly and prompt service. We enjoyed our stay.
• Although both of us are light weight, bed is sagging in the middle. We couldn't sleep well.

“Hotel personnel are friendly and provided a great service. Rooms are clean. The only complaint I have is that although the bed is soft, it is sagging in the middle. It felt like I was sleeping in the hammock.”

• The decoration was modern and updated. Rooms are small, but comfortable.
• Basic requests were not honored.

“The hotel has a modern feel to it and looks very recently updated. Rooms are small, yet comfortable and clean. Those with allergies to feathers and down, take heed. Or request to have these left out of room was not honored and my partner wound up with a severe allergy attack the first night of our stay. The hotel restaurants and room service food leave a lot to be desired and are very costly without providing a high quality of food. Also note, room service adds an automatic gratuity to your checks, however when you sign for it, they don't tell you that. (It is written on the menu, but my partner didn't read the menu so he wound up tipping 40%!). Hop on over to the King's and Queen's shops for far better food.”

• Amazing location! The views were outstanding. Very clean. Superb swimming pools!
• We loved everything about this hotel.

“This hotel was amazing. At check-in in fact, they said they had gone ahead and upgraded our room to a king size ocean view room! It was incredible! The facilities, grounds and location of this resort exceeded every expectation we had. This would be a great hotel for both families and couples.”

• Clean, friendly staff except the restaurant.
• Horrible restaurant dining experience. We left before it was finished.

“Long check in time due to someone calling in sick. Asked for an upgrade to the room and was told they did not have openings. From the lights that were on in the evening, they were not even 1/4 full. Friendly, helpful staff. Dining was overpriced, bland and so slow we left before dessert was delivered. Upon check out, they waived the dining bill. You will need to go to Kona for reasonably priced food.”
