“Older style hotel or motel construction needs a complete remodel and updating of interior and exterior spaces.”

“Very convenient to the airport, clean & safe. Rooms are old & resemble an older Motel 6.”

“The greatest part about this hotel (Aka Motel) has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but only to do with it's location. Walking distance from Superferry, malls and food. From the moment I called from home to check on room and late check in my Maui seaside experience went down hill from there. I tried being optimistic and think maybe the customer service rep was having a bad day, but upon check-in realized differently. Each encounter with this particular rep was the same as the first, even when I attempted to speak with a different one, she interrupted. The beds are hard and pillows are super flat, and the restaurant is not family friendly. If adults are traveling alone and on a serious budget, stay here, & it not, then you just might be disappointed.”

“For the price it is ok. Don't expect anything very nice though. The AC's are window units that the maid's will turn off when the clean the room in order to save electricity. The ice machines are not easy to get to and are not accessible between 10 P.M. and 7 A.M. Neither are the soda and snack machines. I guess that the hotel was probably built in the 1960's and hasn't changed much since other then to get very old looking. Parking on their lot is $5 a day. There is free parking in a public beach park next door, but it isn't secure and your car may be broken in to, vandalized, or even taken.”

“Convenient to airport (3 miles) and shopping center with better prices than airport for souvenirs. This is the business side of Maui and the ocean views and beaches are not special in comparison to lahaina. For the price, it was exactly what we expected and needed!”

“Its the bomb or better yet a bomb! This creates a whole new expectation to the word dive! Outside of a very nice staff member and somewhat nice ocean view, this can be argued as the armpit of Maui...”

“For 1 star hotel, it is ok. If you are lucky enough to stay into the pool side room, it will be great. However, it is quite budget comparing with all other.”

“You can't beat the $80 I paid for the hotel for an expensive area like Maui. That way you can save your money for other things you want to spend on. It's not a place for you if you're on a honeymoon, but for a single traveler like myself it was great. It's in a central location close enough to Lahaina, Mokena, Wailea and Maalaea. I definitely recommend it for the traveler on a tight budget. The only thing I didn't like was that the hallways really smelled bad of smoking.”

“The hotel is a nice place for a traveler that is only staying a night or two. if you plan on seeing a lot of Maui, this isn't the place to be since it can be far from the east and west coast. not much goes on around the hotel and you have to drive anywhere you want to go, not many things are in walking distance.”

“I purchased this hotel overnight for my parents prior to their staying at my time-share in Maui. They said the hotel was very nice. It had a nice restaurant and pool, and was very secure.”

“The hotel tends to cater to large groups and foreigners that smoke. Since the 2nd. floor are for smokers and the first floor rooms are non-smoking, the smoke wafts and permeates into the non-smoking rooms. The elevator is only on one end of the hotel, and long hallways to get to your room. The smell of Lysol and bleach were a bit overpowering!”

“We stay there on the day we arrive and the night before we leave to extend our Island stay. Accessible, Convenient, Clean and Relatively Economical. Thought the rooms are NON-SMOKING, the smoke of smokers outside wafts into the rooms - UGH! The strong smell of cleaning agents / bleach required the airing out of the room prior to utilizing it.”

“Although one gets what one pays for, this hotel was significantly below my expectations. We refused the first set of rooms we were placed in, they were much worse, musty smelling, room was decaying, than the second set of rooms we opted to pay a little more for. The second set of rooms was barely tolerable. There was dirt inside cupboards, in corners, not kept up well at all.”

“I would recommend this hotel to people wanting a stopover for a flight and also if you wanted to stay in the town of Kahului, but not for people who want to have a relaxing beach holiday, it's good for travelers. Staff where extremely helpful and friendly always offering to help with anything they can and not expecting a tip in return. Would recommend for someone wanting a reasonable hotel in Maui.”

“Situated in the heart of Kapului business district, on waterfront, this hotel is best used by travelers who arrive on a late day flight and want a clean and cheap place to sleep close to the airport. This saves late driving and expensive first night rates at better resorts hotels. Also an economical choice for a short stay, but similar accommodations can be found nearer the island's attractions.”
