• Beautiful scenery.
• Charged $17 a day for a crib.

“Service is slow. Felt like we were treated as second class citizens since we were not time share. Charging $17 a day for a crib is NOT family friendly.”

• Location, Views of Bali Hai, Pool area.
• Some rooms are a long walk from the parking lot.

• the rooms are pretty spacious, some nice views of the ocean.
• walking to the beach is an ordeal, the restaurant is overpriced & not that great.

“The stay at Hanalei bay wasn't something I would recommend. For being a hotel that has a deluxe rating, I expected something better. The room itself was just average, getting to the beach was ridiculous. You had to walk down a long road and finally get to the bottom, then you realize another hotel sits at the bottom, so if you wanted even a little privacy its impossible. And then to try and get back to the hotel, takes forever, because you are waiting for some guy in a golf cart to come down the hill and pick you up. we will never stay in this place again, we will find a better place to stay.”

• The staff was friendly.
• The hotel rooms need remodeling

“It was slovenly kept, there was trash on the floor of one of our rooms, and the bathroom needed repair. The toilet ran all night, and the shower dripped. While Kauai is paradise, this hotel has the ability to remove that "paradise" from a vacation. ”
