“I stayed at this hotel many years ago and quite liked it. Since then I don't think they have upgraded their rooms at all. The walls were marked and the carpet looked old and dirty. The bed was clean. The bathroom was like a 2 or 3 star hotel. Small with a shower curtain. My husband and I couldn't use it at the same time as there was not enough room for more than one person to stand.”

• Great location.
• Tiny rooms, not what you would expect for a 4 star hotel.

“The feel and service of a 4 star hotel until you open the door to your room. The rooms are extremely small and they are not all that nice. It is located close to the Subway which is nice. If I would have stayed here at a 3 star price with 3 star expectations I would have been much more satisfied.”

• Clean rooms, prime location next to Subway station, great buffet.
• Small size of rooms.

“Clean affordable hotel, next to Subway station, and a short taxi cab ride to Kowloon Station for the Airport Express Train. Great breakfast and lunch buffet at reasonable price. Staff was very attentive to forwarding me text messages, and making sure my room was stocked with fresh fruit and water. Hotel was centrally located to all major attractions and shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Only about 3 to 4 Subway stops to Central, Hong Kong. I will stay here again.”

• Friendly staff that took care of any request I had.
• Bed was a little hard.

“I enjoyed the Kowloon Hotel. I was upgraded to a harbor view upon arrival for a nominal fee which included free breakfast, internet, and happy hour. Entire hotel worked hard on my well being and I would stay at this hotel again if ever in Hong Kong.”

• Very close to everything.
• Very small rooms, but we were fine.

“This place was the best bang for my buck. Everything was close - shopping, train, ferry, etc. I had no complaints. The rooms were tiny, but we rarely spent time in the room anyway. Overall, good experience. The concierge staff was very friendly.”

• Location was okay. Close to train.
• The size of these rooms are a joke. Even in NY, Rome or Paris, I would not expect this.

“I don't think that this should be included in the 4 star category. The very small rooms made the stay unpleasant.”

• Location was incredible.
• No gym or pool for exercise.

“Excellent location in Tsim Sha Tsui in the heart of everything and close to all. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, this is a great base of operations to enjoy Hong Kong.”

• The daily maid and attendant service was very warm and friendly.
• Access to hotel patrons by outsiders soliciting personal services seemed to be fairly easy.

“The room was smaller than expected but neat and clean in appearance. The maid service checked with us periodically throughout the day to see if anything needed changing. Access to many of the electronic controls for the room was adjacent to the bed so you didn't have to get up to turn off the lights.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Accommodations were too small, and not updated, view was terrible.

“The staff was very friendly. The lobby was attractive. The room was tiny, the view was terrible, and the bathroom was not updated. I cannot imagine this being 4 stars; its more like a 2 star.”

• Excellent location with very friendly and helpful staff.
• Room size.

“Excellent location next to peninsula hotel, which of course is even better located. Rooms are small but everything else was perfect. Staff was extremely helpful! They let us check in at 8am. If I would have been in US they would have charged me more for early check-in. Will definitely stay again in the same hotel.”

• Washroom appears not up to par as a 4-star hotel.

“Had to wait till next day to get a double bed room as I was arrived at 9:30 pm. Staff was friendly. Bedding mattress was too soft to a point of uncomfortable.”

• Awesome location, convenient to all public transit, safe.
• Room is very tight.

“The Kowloon Hotel is in a wonderful location in HK. Close to all transit and easy access to all tourist support system. Although small room, it has a interesting 90 degree angle floor to ceiling glass window which I like very much in terms of openness and brightness. I enjoy sitting there working on the desk morning and watch the early light.”

• Clean, professional staff and close to everything, super location in Kowloon.
• The room may be a little small, all you have is a nice bed, a TV, and comfortable bath room, not much to spare.

“Overall, it is a nice hotel, central located, very accessible to everything in the city with professional staff. The drawback would have to be the room is much smaller than most of other hotels that I stayed before in Kowloon.”

“I have stayed here many times in the past and very happy with everything. This trip it seemed like the hotel maybe under new management. The first night, the hotel was very full and so I had to sleep in a smoking room it was awful.”
