“As a experienced business traveler I have stayed in some very nice Holiday Inns and this one is only just adequate. It's locations what saved the day.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[1] • Location:[1]

  • I didn't like it!
  • The noise, the facilities, location, safety, didn't accommodate to us having an infant.

“Our hotel experience was horrible, expired permits, noise and lack of customer relations! They put us in a loud room, we heard sirens all night and that woke up our baby, which in any case we got no sleep and she was cranky all day.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[7] • Location:[6]

  • The staff was helpful and polite. Valet service was free.
  • No free parking, the hotel was right beside the bus depot, it was a shady area at night.

“The adjoining restaurant which provided room service had horrible food and that food as also overpriced!”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[2] • Location:[2]

  • Nothing to say.
  • Awful, never stay at this hotel.

“The rooms were not that clean, no towels at the pool area, staff. None on hand, paid for breakfast and did not receive any. Kitchen was closed and to top it off, we had no heat in our room. The location is awful. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone!”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[6]

  • They park your car for you, and greeted with a smile!
  • The fire trucks and first response vehicles going by at night.

“If you stay in the hotel at night you feel safe, but you get the impression that you do not want to be out at night. The location next to the greyhound bus terminal seems to bring a different mix of people to watch. You can go to the terminal store without going outside for a snack; however I suggest not going alone. There is a restaurant in the terminal for the frugal travelers if desired. There is an exercise area along side of the small pool area, with a laundry area. I stayed three times in this hotel, the first two times were very enjoyable. However the third time the staff and management were now changed. This has proved to be a detriment to the hotel; the staff is not as friendly as the previous. I had a waitress who when I asked for a steak, she told me how I was going to get it cooked, and what I was going to get with it. Maybe I am wrong here but I think that I am supposed to ask her these things. If it wasn't for the cook to take it upon himself to come to our table after over hearing the conversation to apologize, we would have walked out. A word of advice when you check out makes sure that you get a total for you room and a copy. I checked my MasterCard bill a month later and found that they double charged me for my room. They charge the company and me for the room and all incidentals (local calls, parking). Oh and as a footnote, the last time I stayed, I found a razor blade on the top of the bed. I will not be going back!”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[5]

  • Clean, friendly, kids eat free, convenient to downtown amenities.
  • Rough neighborhood, small pool area that needs to be updated, floor is slippery, small rooms, mandatory 9.00 for parking.

“Overall, our stay was very pleasant. We had tickets to a show at the Imax downtown so it was very convenient, walking distance. The immediate area around the hotel though is very rough, would not go out alone at night. Kids eat free at the hotel restaurant and the portions are HUGE. The small pool area needs to be updated but the kids had fun regardless. The $9.00/day mandatory parking fee is an unexpected addition to the price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.”

“Rooms were basic, but comfortable. Location was good, close to mall and IMAX. Kid friendly and kids eat free which is a big bonus.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • Courtesy of staff, good high speed internet, nice rooms.
  • Would prefer queen size beds.

“Hotel is well situated in downtown Winnipeg. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. High speed internet actually works consistently, contrary to my inexperience in many hotels.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Clean, comfortable and in center of downtown area.
  • It took me about $10 for parking per night. Also, hotel asked for extra province tax about $5.

“Totally, it is a comfortable and convenient hotel, if you do not care to pay parking.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[5]

  • Central location, downtown.
  • High traffic of fire department, emergency cars, poor parking.

“The hotel had easy access to downtown mall, shopping and attractions, but the fire trucks were actually very frequent. The parking is valet parking, but it was seemingly in the packinghouse above the greyhound bus-stop. Other parking options were open parking lots in the down-town area.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[3]

  • We enjoyed visiting with our waiter
  • It was right next to the bus station and not in a real safe part of town.

“The staff was very friendly, the room comfortable, but the pool area and location left a great deal to be desired. We were also without power for about 8 hours so there was no hot water until late in the day, (seems to happen often in the Winnipeg area) If we returned to Winnipeg we would stay in another location. This hotel does not even begin to compare with the other three star hotels.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[6]

  • The restaurant ws terrible.

“The hotel is clean and affordable. The pool is small, but nice and is located in the basement. I did not expect to have to pay $9 per night to park my car and valet parking at that. The restaurant has good breakfasts at reasonable prices and kids eat free if you are staying at the hotel, however after eating two evening meals in the restaurant, I decided that the savings were not worth the terrible food we received.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Great location, nice room, great prices
  • Pool was pretty cold.

“This is a very nice, clean, modern hotel with a great location. The icing on the cake was the free amenities such as valet parking and high-speed Internet access. This hotel is centrally located, within a 10-minute walk of even the furthest nightlife in the Little Italy/Corydon areas, and across the street from the Hudson's Bay Company, Winnipeg's largest department store. Other reviewers had negatively noted that the hotel was next to the bus station, but this was not noticeable for us.”
