• Proximity to the Casino.
• Room view was a brick wall and the air did not work.

“Nice place but the view was bad (brick wall) and the air conditioner didnt work and was very loud.”

• That the staff was friendly and willing to help solve all issues.
• The TV had loud noise coming from it, a towel was stained & the weight/exercise room was too small.

“The staff made up for the imperfections we found, including moving us to another room when our neighbors were making too much noise.”

• As described, each room has a great view of the river front.
• The rooms are dated.

“Our room had a great view of the river front and the GM Tower in Detroit. The hotel could benefit from new carpets and updated bathrooms, though.”

• Great central location and very clean.
• Some small issues like hidden parking fees and crowded entrance way with cars.

“Stayed at the Windsor Hilton on a recent family trip. Overall excellent value. Very clean and kind staff. Didn't like the hidden parking fees (10.00/day) and crowded entrance way with valet cars. Aside from that excellent!”

• The hotel room was very comfortable.
• The front desk clerk put us in a smoking room when we asked for none, and then the valet girl found us another room.

“I was traveling with a friend. I liked the hotel, but when we checked in the front desk clerk said he had 1 room in smoking with 2 beds or 1 room non smoking with one bed. We dont smoke and Im pregnant so we said we wanted the non smoking room with one bed. He put us in a smoking room with one bed.”

• Great hotel, crappy parking.
• Parking for Windsor should not be $10.

• The view of Detroit was lovely.
• I found the room a bit small and dated.

“Overall the hotel was very good. I did not spend too much time there to explore the whole hotel, so I can't comment. I don't like having to pay for parking on top of the hotel charges, I prefer a hotel where they have their own parking.”

• Manager was very accommodating and happy to fulfill request.
• The restaurant and Saturday night club goers.

“The hotel is somewhat outdated, still nice but could definitely use some upgrading. The rooms are of a decent size and all have at least a partial Riverview. The main problem is that my wife and I were there for a quiet weekend away and by 5 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon our floor was overrun by a rowdy group who were shouting throughout the hallways and opening and closing their door non-stop. This noise was constant over the next couple of hours. From reviews I've read, this is a common problem. Not surprising for Windsor which as a border town gets a lot of Americans coming over on the weekends due to Canada's lower drinking age. We finally got fed up and asked the manager to move us to a different floor and he cheerfully granted our request with no hesitation - a big plus for the hotel! We ate in the hotel's restaurant "The Park Terrace" which was a little bit stuffy of an atmosphere. The food was decent...but much overpriced considering the fact that it was decent...not good or great. I had steak and my wife had a garlic chicken both at about $30 per entree. It tasted like average wedding food, and would have appropriately priced at half the amount they charged for it. The server was excellent; however we were also his only table on a very quiet Saturday night. All in all a decent hotel if you're not looking for fireworks.”

“Our first room had bugs in the bed. The second room they moved us to have not been cleaned at all. It was absolutely disgusting. By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.”

• Hotel was conveniently located.
• Hotel parking was inconvenient, requiring guests to walk further than desired.

“Overall the experience was good. We were pleasantly surprised to be within walking distance to the necessary amenities. The hotel has a great view, as well!”

• Great view of the river.
• We were on the third floor, right above the restaurant where the band was playing until the early morning.

“Very pleasant stay. The views from the room were great and the breakfast buffet was also very good. The room was clean and the staff was very courteous.”

• Had a nice room with a decent view.
• Had no available parking without paying $15.

“It was a clean nice looking hotel but had a lot of kids in it the night we were there. The one thing I didn¿t like was it had no form of valet parking, nor did it have anywhere to park. I had to go to a parking garage that was 2 blocks away from the hotel (this was the hotel parking) then got charges $15 to park there for less than 12 hours. ”

“The hotel was not as attractive as the on-line picks. There were dirty towels, cups, papers, etc in the pool area for several hours. Parking was across the street. Staff was friendly and the view was the room was great.”

• Good location, very nice rooms excellent bed with generous amount of pillows.
• Lobby and corridors looked dated and tired, companion said wifi did not work.

“I didn't pay for my accommodations paid by my company, however, other than, what I considered, dated looking lobby, and corridors, service was very good, bed and linens were excellent, staff very accommodating, restaurant provided very good Sunday breakfast buffet with a great view of the river. Valet was very helpful as was desk staff. Over all very nice property would return and recommend it. ”
