  • Location.
  • Bed / pull out couch.

“Although our hotel room was nice - we were not given a room with a bed. We were given a queen pull out couch. I was at least expecting a real bed. Our door to room was covered in something gross, that was never cleaned during the stay.”

  • Cleanliness and size of room.
  • Location - too far outside city.

“This hotel was clean and our room was spacious. I would not recommend it if you do not have a car and plan to spend much time Downtown as it is not within close walking distance.”

  • The hotel staff was super helpful.
  • We were kept awake by the next room's television.

“I went with a colleague from work. We loved the location and the service was first rate. The elevators were a bit difficult to use and we did not find the lounge to have good food, but overall, it was a great place to stay. The beds were super comfortable and everything was extremely clean.”

  • Best location, clean, good room size.
  • Shower water is not strong enough.

“Overall is a great experience. Location is the best if you like to walk around.”

  • Quality for the price and well located.
  • Everything extra seemed to come at an added cost.

“Very nice and friendly. Good view and an exciting area. I was disappointed in having to pay an extra fee for a queen/king size bed.”

  • Very nice hotel.
  • Overbooked.

“The rooms were very nice but they overbooked and only had a room for a single left. We slept on a very uncomfortable hide-a-bed. They did offer us breakfast in the morning as compensation. I would stay at this hotel again if we had a proper room. Also, parking was very expensive.”

“My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. We were there for 2 nights before our cruise. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

  • The Beds and the view but ask for view to the east.
  • Walls are thin and you can hear neighbors TV and voices in the rooms.

“It was really good, my sons say. We could go everyplace walking or on the sky train for 2.50 a person! Fast and budget friendly. View is spectacular from the 15th floor on the East side; you can see the Fairmont Hotel, so beautiful and the streets with huge wall of water. Pool is very nice and clean and warm and the hot tub is great on the roof. Expensive varieties of flowers, lots of orchids, displayed in glass and in table scapes are fabulous! The downside is you have to pay extra for everything, even the one serving coffee you get in the room is $4 a cup. The Karaf they send to your room is 20 bucks after taxes and gratuity, and it is not hot, Luke warm. This is a drag because having fresh hot coffee readily available in the morning could have made it perfect. We really hated the crummy paper cups in the room, not real coffee cups? Yuck, hated that. You get them is you order the Luke warm coffee from the room service. Would have loved hot coffee in the am in a real coffee mug. Don't let them put you on the West side; view is of gravel roof and seagulls nesting on the roof next door. The workout room is posh and cool towels in fridge. Security seemed really organized and you feel safe even in this Downtown local. Park your own car, but it will still cost you 28 a night. And make sure if you are in an SUV you go in on the North side or it will scapes up your roof with 6 foot clearance off Burred.”

  • Nice comfortable bed.
  • You had to pay extra for everything including parking and coffee in the room.

“The hotel was very nice. The main problem I had was that you had to pay extra $28 a day for parking and for even the little in room coffee poaches $4.95 each. Nothing was included in the room rental other than the room.”

“This is truly a lovely property. The front desk staff excel in hospitality, and we have always gotten an excellent room. The location is awesome. It's been renovated since we last stayed there, with flat screen TV, etc. The bed is extremely comfortable. We love this place!”

  • Fantastic staff, location, and condition of building and room, very nice.
  • Paying for parking wasn't the greatest, but expected.

“My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights in this hotel and we found it to be a great experience. The location is very convenient to all in the downtown area of Vancouver. The rooms were freshly remodeled and were in excellent condition! The staff was very helpful and fun. Valet parking was really nice, but was extra, and expected, etc. I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency in downtown Vancouver, BC. Sincerely, A very satisfied customer!”

  • Like a true business hotel, many amenities were overpriced.

“It also cost over $5 to use the business center for 15 minutes! Next time I visit Vancouver, I would stay close to but not in Downtown Vancouver.”

  • Excellent location.
  • Necessary extras cost too much: $15 daily for Internet, $25 for self parking.

“The absolute best location for a stay in Vancouver. Top tier for business travelers, although it would be fine for a couple traveling as tourists. Decor is superb, even down to the bathroom fittings and very European. Very comfortable beds.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Beautiful decor, great bathrooms and friendly staff.
  • There was a dirty sock from a past guest under a chair in the living room.

“The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and as accommodating as they could be in regards to the situation but inevitably I was left to sleep on a sofa bed.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • This hotel's location is nearly perfect- central to restaurants, shopping car rentals, public transit.
  • Nicely done renovation/redecorating but to urbane for a romantic escape.

“Excellent value. The hotel staff were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly; the location is beside shopping, car rentals (several within 5 minutes walk), restaurants, public transit, and the downtown tourist destinations. Recently renovated/redecorated, the room styling is as exactly a seen in the tour nicely done, but a bit cold for a romantic escape. Doing a very nice job with a late 70's(?) facility.”
