  • The staff was exceptionally friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

“This was a clean, safe, and good location hotel. The staff was exceptionally in their work. All were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel that were on a budget. The location was great if going on a cruise or walking to major points of interest.”

  • It was close to the venue that we came to see.
  • Their valet parking service was not very good.

“For a moderately priced hotel, it was fine. Their valet parking service got our keys mixed up and brought us the wrong vehicle. Then they scratched our passenger mirror when parking our vehicle too close to the wall. They then charged us $5.00 more for parking.

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Friendly staff; comfortable beds.
  • Very noisy area; difficult to use heat and or A/C controls.

“Close to things we wanted to do; small room, but sufficient for our needs; would like to see mirror in room, as only one is in enclosed bathroom. Difficult for two people to get ready at same time (especially two women!).”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Very friendly staff and I liked the big windows that opened up to let in fresh air.
  • The breakfast room was in the basement and not very appealing.

“Good value for money, very helpful staff, excellent location.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[10] • Location:[3]

  • Free internet.
  • Expensive valet (25$), crap part of town, no elevator to upper stories, very small rooms.

“The expensive valet surprised us(25$)and there was no where else to park. Additionally, they told us to get anything valuable out of the car because it wasn't a safe neighborhood. The free internet was nice and the room was okay. The staff was nice, too. Okay for a 1 star hotel.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[3]

  • The Front Desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
  • Our car got broken into because we did not want to pay $25 for valet parking.

“The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the location was convenient for the night life in Downtown Vancouver. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, except for the parking situation. Valet parking should be recommended or included in the price to avoid other people having their cars vandalized while staying here.”

  • Staff was awesome.
  • The bed (we had a room with 2 full) was really short.

“Other than the beds being very short (Im 6'3" and didn't fit on the bed at all) the place was exactly what I was looking for in the $100 range per night on a Saturday. The hotel staff was absolutely the best. Loaned us an umbrella, extremely friendly and helpful. Well versed in the area and easy to chat with.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Great location and staff was very helpful.
  • Room was extremely small, and the lack of a view was a drawback.

“Good hotel. The small rooms are manageable, but definitely cramped. The hotel can't do anything about the views given the location, but the lack of a window that you can see through left a little bit of a gloomy feel in the room day and night.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[5]

  • Night desk clerk. Sympathetic, kind. (airlines lost luggage) We came in at midnight, exhausted. He made me feel that all would be OK.
  • Would like to see chrome flange at point where sink plumbing enters washroom from wall.

“Would stay here again because it's a pleasant hotel with attractive furnishings and nice continental breakfast. But I do wish it were in better part of town--but then probably couldn't afford to stay.”

  • Overall facilities were clean.
  • I was upset with the attitude of hotel staff toward guest in trouble.

“During my stay in the hotel my own car parked by the hotel's valet parking was vandalized and valuables in the car were all stolen, which was really frustrating for me. However the hotel staff including the duty manager never said they were sorry for the incident happened in the hotel but just insisted they were not responsible at all. Further on second day's morning the fire alarm was ringing terribly with unknown reason which made all the guests rush down the stairway to evacuate though there was no explanation or apology from the hotel for the happening. My whole trip to Vancouver was spoiled due to the incidents in the hotel and more over the unkind attitude of the hotel staff. The only person equipped with service standard of a hotel was the valet parking guy.”
