• Absolutely nothing.
• This hotel was horrible. I never knew hotels had the potential to be this bad.

“I was appalled at how disgusting this hotel was. The hotel room made me feels claustrophobic and the staff was not helpful. The area is also appalling; I have never seen so many homeless people in one area in my life. I wouldn't even consider this a hotel; I wouldn't even stay at this hotel again if I was paid.”

• Great location to gas lamp and Chinatown.
• Homeless and red light area outside.

“The hotel has obviously been a grand old lady at one time, but the area is presently in a down turn so it is not good for the hotel. (I think this will change in the next 5-10 years though). It has a great character and this would be good to retain, although a make over is necessary I think. Still keeping the budget price is important too. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and tidy, but old and run down.”

• It was the cheapest available. Within walking distance of downtown.
• The area of the hotel can feel a little unsafe.

“Not too far from downtown. For any business activity, it is within walking distance. If you're not going to spend too much time inside the room and spend much of it outside seeing town, it would be nice. I expected the room to be a much bigger than it was even though it was a student discount rate.”

• Within walking distance of places we wished to go to.
• Bad local (lots of derelicts). Small room.

“The hotel was old but clean. It is close (reasonable walking distance) to the train and bus station, Gas town, cruise ship docks and downtown and adjacent to the Chinatown area. But local is bad (lots of undesirable persons on nearby streets). price was very good for being right in town however.”
