• Close to my daughters place.
• Key cards repeatedly did not work on outside doors. Long walk to get new card.

“Staff were unimpressed that we had to walk back to main office to change or re-key key cards to open outside door on building we were in which was across a parking lot and at the other end of the building. This happened repeatedly. No hairdryer in room. Strange place without personality but no bedbugs and fine to fall asleep in.”

• Nothing, except the staff was pleasant.
• I liked nothing. The room was dingy and unclean. The staff left their cleaning rags in the room! It was terrible, awful.

• The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Was a little hard to get to the rooms because of stairs.

• Shuttle service to downtown was great.
• Did not have adequate hand towels, 1 instead of 2.

“This is a decent hotel in city center, with convenient shuttle service to harbor. Shuttle driver was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Housekeeping was not the best, had to call office for hand towels which were missing.”

• Good location, easy to get around from to major attractions.
• Filthy windows, bathroom so small the door wouldn't open all the way.

“Good location, easy to find, but cleanliness left something to be desired. The staff was nice. Although there were two king size beds, the room was too small to accommodate 4 adults. The bathroom was so small that the door would not open all the way and there was no space to put toiletries. Very musty smelling stairways between floors.”

“The location is not great, the condition of the premises and the room is very poor and the staff is unhelpful and arrogant! This is not a hotel; it's a vacationers nightmare motel.”

• Wireless in lobby.
• This hotel is old, needs renovations and decent bedding.

“This is one of many travelers inns in Victoria and all look similar. It is very dated and needs new carpets, drapes, bedding, pillows and the very old and smelly kitchenettes. The wood furnishing was ok and the mattress was too. Very small room cheaply presented.”

• This hotel is a mile from the nearest convenience store and unacceptably far away from downtown Victoria.

• Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Not maintained and abandoned cars in the parking lot.

“Will not stay here again. It was dirty and there were two abandoned cars in the parking lot. Showed no pride of ownership. Not sure about the other traveler inns in the area, but if they have common ownership or common management, I suspect the others are probably maintained the same.”

• It didn't have too many cockroaches on the wall.
• It was simply depressing, dirty, poorly maintained, bad area of town, etc.

“The hotel had no facilities to speak of. The room was dirty, the drapes were at least 20 years old, did not fit the windows, and had holes in them. The non-smoking room stank of stale cigarettes. When I woke up in the morning, there were cockroaches on the wall. Truly a miserable experience!”

• Tiny bathrooms.

“The room they checked me into smelled like someone had spilled a gallon of bleach/chemicals or something. We couldn't breathe without inhaling whatever it was. I called down and they moved us to another room. I still cant understand why they would have put is in that room in the first place. When I told them about the smell they knew about it and said there was a problem the night before but they didn't say what.”

• A bit worn. Some maintenance needed.

“Desk service was pleasant. Rooms reasonably clean but smelled of old smoke even though non-smoking rooms. Beds comfortable - bathroom a bit shabby. Linens ok.”

• The price was right. The room was very, very clean.
• The 'dinginess' of the hallways, overall condition of the room..

“Great for the price! Cleanliness of the room was superb! However, the room was in need of repair: cracked plaster, threadbare blanket. (it actually had holes in it!) The hallway was very dark and the entrances to the part of the hotel I stayed in were NOT that secure. (The hotel is actually 2 separate buildings.)”

“This hotel is not a 2 star hotel. It is about 40 years old and looks every bit of the years. The linens were about as old and the bathroom was not clean. This should not even be marketed as a 1 star hotel.”
