“Old English charm on 5 acres of beautiful gardens and trees. Beautiful restaurant and hotel lobby was like being invited to someone's grand manor. Flooded in the restaurant was great. We awakened every morning with the sounds of birds chirping, a cool breeze blowing and tree's swaying from our window. Very nice.”

“I would like to see pictures of the room I would get, before I said ok to it. There was a staircase up to our room, with no hand rail on one side, also when we came back to our room, the door was ajar for anyone to walk in.”

“Located in a quiet neighborhood away from the tourists and cruise ship crowds of Inner Harbor. The English Inn had fabulous gardens separating a number of newly renovated Shakespearean cottages. Our accommodations were spacious, clean and shaded.”

“The hotel staff treated us well. We would have liked to have seen more towels in the bathroom and to have the cost include a breakfast of some sort. The room was very romantic.”

“We stayed at EIR on Sep 5, 2005. The hotel is located about 3 miles from the ferry, in a neighborhood, not commercial area. You can get there by cab or public transit from the wharf, ferry area. The bus was convenient, often and cheap, unless you have a lot luggage. We didn't. The grounds are very nice and well maintained, a wonderful place to read, play and relax. Because the rooms are rooms in a house, the shape can be weird, and claustrophobic at places. For instance, we had to duck down in some parts of the room. Some unattended to maintenance issues reduced the appeal of the place. Overall, it was tastefully decorated. The staff at the reception and restaurants were friendly and helpful. ”
