• Great location.
• No pool. Hotel more like a Holiday Inn -not 4 star.

“Great location. Lobby is small and reminded me of a Holiday Inn rather than a 4 star hotel. No pool. Sauna was off and took a long time to warm up. Locker room was dirty and went back next day and was still not cleaned with dirty towels all over the place and no clean towels available. Would not stay at this hotel again or recommend it. Maybe good for business travelers.”

• Closeness to Young and Bloor street.
• Dirt carpets and old style rooms and furniture.

“Hotels in great location, but it is not 4 star hotel more like three Star. It had no Pool which was a shock as that what I expect 4 star to have. Their so much construction going on in the area so it was noisy. Parking was mess no daily rate for guest unless you pay for valet parking, every time you came and went you had to pay, not good.”

• Staff were very curious, friendly and very helpful. The room was very quiet especially being in the downtown area.
• The windows were very dirty.

“The hotel was located in a very convenient location for us. It was very clean, and all levels of staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the room was spacious and clean. Our only problem was the dirty windows.”

“If you have to stay in Toronto, it's a good place to stay, although not near the center. Seems as though no hotel will let you get away without paying the exorbitant Toronto parking fees!”

• The location of this hotel was the best possible for the events I had planned.
• The bathroom was smaller than I expected.

“The staff was very helpful with all my questions for finding my way around. Although the bathroom was on the small side, the room was very spacious and relaxing. The choice of linens was wonderful. Overall a very positive and pleasant stay.”

• It met our needs, good location, and nice quiet room. Would stay there again.
• A pool would have been nice.

“We were nicely greeted upon arriving, did ask for a King bed and this was accommodated. Apparently this chain of hotels is smoke free across North America, this I really appreciated. Overall it was a great place to overnight.”

• The subway station was located directly across the street.
• A little longer distance to the Downtown action than we thought.

• The rooms were very nice and the staff was excellent.
• I expect a pool in 4 star venues. I don't like paying for parking.

“This is a very nice small sized hotel that is centrally located. It also has convenient access to the subway system. Be prepared to pay a fee for parking if you drive to Toronto. All in all it was a pleasant stay.”

• We have been few times at this hotel and quit frankly. Hope it will happen again.
• The valet parking is very expensive. Discount should be given to seniors who have difficulties to park inside, particularly in the winter.

• The location is ideal-right on the Subway line. Tons of exquisite shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
• Check-in and check-out were abysmal. One desk person to handle check-in, check-out, phone inquiries, airport information.

“We booked a 4 star and were please to receive it was a Marriott-until we arrived. After being greeted and acknowledged at check-in at 3 p.m. On a Saturday, we waited 15 minutes while the desk clerk took phone calls. He was the only one at the desk. He apologized, but it's not what Ive come to expect from the Marriott. The room was typical of Marriott's high standards and the gym was well equipped and maintained. The lack of a pool was a bit of a disappointment for the kids but not a huge issue. The accommodations were great. The room was quiet and the location was superb. On check-out we had the same poor experience as check-in. We had extra charges over the course of the evening so stopped by the desk for a receipt. Once again, a lone staff member was at the helm. When it was our turn to be served he continued to take phone calls, answer questions and accommodate patrons who demanded immediate attention without acknowledging our inconvenience. A routine 5 minute check-out took almost 20 minutes! I understand the immediacy of someone making an airport connection but taking the time to outline directions to a restaurant over a check-out.”

• Uncomfortable bed.

“The hotel was beautiful and convenient to the subway, stores and restaurants. Unfortunately the bed was too uncomfortable to sleep in. The multiple pillows are much too soft, I itched over every inch of my body all night long. I slept so poorly that it ruined my trip.”

“Visiting Toronto for shopping and a ball game the hotel was a little out of the way compared to others we have stayed at. Not exactly close to the Downtown core as I would have liked. Hotel had very 2.5-3 star feel to it. In fact there is a Courtyard Marriott just down the street which looks to be in better shape.”

• The beds are amazing.
• No view and rooms not sound proof.

“Everything was great until the morning when extremely loud construction noise woke us up! the entire building was vibrating! Not happy as we wanted to enjoy the 1pm check out and stay in bed for a while. We couldn't stand it and left. Would have been nice to get a different hotel. Nice place, great beds, good location. Best for business trips and not romantic weekend stays.”
