  • It was clean.
  • Rooms where a bit small and crowded.

“The overall stay was pleasant and the staff was courteous. However we did find the rooms a wee bit small and therefore crowded.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[6] • Location:[10]

  • Location was in middle of all main attractions.
  • Charge for parking.

“This was a great choice for the weekend travelers. The free breakfast was great. The selection is what you expect (omelets, muffins, bacon sausage etc.) The location was prime we could walk everywhere in the city of Toronto. The only down side is you had to pay for parking which I guess for a big city like Toronto is needed. Overall though I really liked the hotel.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[3] • Location:[2]

  • It was a good location for walking to places in the daytime.
  • I didnt like the lack of cleanliness and the view from my room. I had the homeless shelter to look at and didnt feel safe leaving after 8pm.

“It was not that good. The coffee downstairs was cold, there was never any water in the dispenser for tea, and the room was not clean. There was garbage from a previous guest under my bed and my bed didnt feel clean. The rug was definitely not vacuumed either.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • I liked the location, the air conditioning and the friendly staff.
  • I did not like the initial desk staff telling me my VISA was declined when they didn't enter the expiry date correctly.

“You can find the hotel easily because it is near King and Church. You can see the Church and hear the Church bells every 15 minutes.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[3]

  • Friendly staff, spacious nice clean room, several blocks from subway.
  • Drug junkies in area.

“Would recommend this hotel to business travelers. Breakfast complimentary. Great Staff. Only bad thing about this hotel is the druggies and crack heads that's on the streets around the hotel all day.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[6]

  • The room was quiet, comfortable, clean and well located for the purpose of my trip.
  • I was nervous in the neighborhood after being warned by staff at the Eaton centre.

“Overall I was pleased with my stay.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Good central location and a *decent* hotel. VERY good breakfast.
  • Homeless shelter across street. Very expensive for basic amenities.

“The breakfast was fabulous. A very wide selection and quite enjoyable. The hotel met expectations for cleanliness and basic amenities Way overpriced however. Only downfall to great location is the homeless shelter being across the street - it got rather noisy in the late evening.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Continental breakfast.

“The hotel was clean. The continental breakfast was excellent. The lady in the gift shop was helpful. Great location for downtown activities. I only wish it had a pool and gym.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[7]

  • Water sculpture in the "courtyard".
  • Not a great location.

“Convenient to St. Lawrence Market. Clean. Appropriate amenities. Breakfast for those who want it. Exercise facilities would have been nice.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • It was downtown easy access.
  • Mechanical problems with the room, I had to fix bathroom light and toilet.

“We liked the pillows, would have liked a pool or spa. The location is ok. Taxi's are very economical and parking is as well. The area is busy with new buildings being built and looks very promising.”

“wanted to rebook the same hotel but the price was much higher at the front desk.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • Closeness to things I was doing and of course the price.
  • I was told that the rooms had internet access and when I got there was told those rooms were 10.00 more per night.

“Overall a good motel for someone looking for a basic stay with no frills. The room was adaquate for my needs of basically a place to sleep. Hotel is also doing renovations at this time which led to the 8 I gave for cleanliness, otherwise it seemed to be kept up nicely.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • parking was inexpensive and convienient
  • Dirty carpet, noise level outrageous, staff unfriendly, inhotel quests party at all hours and outside noise very hard to sleep

“I would have to say that from the begginng this was not a good stay. I phoned ahead to request 2 double beds. I spoke to a man who spoke to his manager and said no problem and no extra charge was mentioned.I went to check in and they had no in a queen and wanted to charge ne extra to get the two doubles which i confirmed already.I had to argue with the man at the desk, tell him the persons name whom i spoke to to confirm the double double request and then he gave me a double double, the hotel room carpeting was so dirty you could NOT walk on it barefoot as it was actually sticky in places which was grotesque, the next door neighbors smoked pot and you could smell it so strongly under the doors i was getting nauseous, and this was a non smoking floor, I would have callled downstairs to the front desk but was afraid they would know it was us and try to seek revenge in some way as it was just me and my girlfriend ( 2 girls) alone in this room. then the noise outside was terrible,we were across from a shelter and the men who couldnt get in were yelling all night, as if this was not bad enough people upstairs were having a party above our heads.I am sorry to say i would NOT be going back to this hotel for any price.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[10]

  • Very good 2 stars hotel
  • After complaints on my first 3 stays there, they still can't get cable problems fixed!

“Very Good location with good 2 stars room and service.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[6] • Location:[7]

  • Had a new room
  • The property was under repair, blankets on hall floors, plastic around doorways.

“Hotel is located in a run down part of the downtown, off of the main streets. On one corner is a 24 Hour gas station and store, the other a salvation army shelter, and another, a goodwill thrift shop. Two guests get a bed and a foldout chesterfield.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[5] • Location:[8]

  • Nothing much i liked. The cleanliness was good but it was expected that much.
  • Hotel parking charges. Too high. Hotel getting renovated because of a not so pleasant entrance. Rooms too small

“Breakfast good.
Staff didn't seem to be hospitable.
Parking charges too high.
Rooms too small.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Convenience, included breakfast, and current remodeling efforts.
  • Staff was unwilling to allow us to keep bags in room until flight departure. Also, the bed wasn't the most comfy.

“The location of this hotel is convenient to downtown. About a 4-block from the King St. subway stop, and probably accessible by bus. They provide a convenient flat-fee rate taxi ride to airport if requested. Enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. Though the hotel is older, they are making attempts to renovate, which is a sign of good management and commitment to quality. The room, though old and small, was nice. The beds could be more comfy though.”

  • Free newspapers and free breakfast.
  • Heating/cooling was a bit old

“Quality Inn Hotel is near downtown Toronto, a few blocks from the subway, historic buildings, shopping, and food. I managed to get this hotel for much cheaper than normal - off season price was wonderful. The amenities are nice (free breakfast, free newspaper, cable TV) and the location is fantastic.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • It was exactly what I was looking for
  • Every local call costs $.75

“The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from subway and 10 minute walk from Eaton Center. It's clean. I can't say anything about breakfast because I couldn't be bothered to actually get up early enough to have it. Although I had a dreadful cup of tea in the room. But otherwise it was very good.”
