“The room looked like drinks had been thrown all over the walls and we did not even have a phone in our room. There was only one nice staff member working so she brought a phone in. People were screaming and partying all night long. My friend and I were both woken up in the middle of the night to two men trying to kick down our door. We called the front desk, they said they come check on us and call the police. Nobody came to check up and the police never came. They were not apologetic for any of the things that happened. Do not stay at this hotel, I don't even know how they are still in business.”

“the name has changed to north woods motel, so on arrival could not find the motel, after asking several people I managed to find it, the lady at the front desk was snotty, the room, was musty, moldy, smelly. Looked clean but stunk, the pool was cold and the whirl pool was warm, no heat woke up in night frozen, I think they turned on heat now. Was not impressed at all.”

“I wasn't informed that Howard Johnson isn't hotel but a motel. From its name, you can't tell. I didn't feel safe. The room was so dusty that I sneezed for about 3 days. The room had no internet, one light off, one headboard missing and windows could not be open. They did not fix it even after we contacted them. The hotel charges fee for local call and provided no breakfast. The location was good at all.”

“This hotel gives the Howard Johnson's a bad Name. I would sleep in my vehicle before sleeping in this hotel again. The parking lot has so many potholes; it was like a roller coaster ride driving through it. The non smoking room smelled like stale smoke. There was no security latch on the door. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The wall paper in the bathroom was coming off. I didn't dare use the shower. The one chair we had was broken. Out of the 14 rooms booked everyone had a problem. There was a drug bust, a gang fight and a domestic dispute while we were there. We actually slept with a chair in front of the door. The picture on the website is deceiving. Oh yeah, the amentias that were to be provided were no where to be seen.”

“Never in my life would I recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. The pictures on the website are very deceiving. The lobby smells of stale smoke. The parking lot has more holes in it that a slice of Swiss cheese. I don't even know where to start with the room. Let me list some of the issues. The room also smelled. There was no safety latch on the door. The chair we had was broken and unsafe to sit on. The smoke alarm was covered in plastic. The bathroom door wouldn't shut properly. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off. Even though we turned the heat down, it never cooled off. There was a drug bust at the hotel. We could barely sleep as there were numerous fights going on in the rooms above us. There was no bedding for the pullout. A lot of the amenities listed on the website were not available. Out of the 14 rooms booked by our team, everyone had some sort of problems. Some had no heat, broken TV's, missing safety latches, broken chairs, and rooms weren't cleaned. If they were, the bedding wasn't changed, just turned over, furniture missing (coffee table, chairs, etc). If we could have changed hotels, we would have done it in a minute. Unfortunately all the hotels in Saskatoon were booked up.”

“I got walked in on twice, almost thrown out because they got the wrong room; wake up call didn't go thru but did that night while we were sleeping, window left open/light left on in the middle of winter, for everyone to see our now cold room, and bed bugs. Arch. Don't stay here; Iżd rather sleep/would feel safer sleeping in the car.”

“Traveling with 2 children myself, we had stayed at this facility before. Our last stay there was not safe, could see daylight past the door, the carpets were filthy & beds old. To top it off, I went to phone home and the telephone fell apart & would not work. NEVER AGAIN!”

“The hotel was dirty, smoky and unsafe. The beds were old and worn out, the air conditioner sounded like an airplane and the water temperature in the shower changed and burnt my chest. The TV was small and the remote didn't work. My family and I couldn't wait to get out of there. The restaurant gave you 3 options for breakfast, that's it. Never again.”
