  • Convenient location.

“I was only there one night to travel via air. Have I mentioned the location ...and a free courtesy shuttle service was available.”

  • The wireless internet in this hotel never works. A business traveler needs the reliable wireless internet from every hotel.

“This hotel needs to improve the reliability of wireless internet.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • It was convenient to the ferry terminal, which helped us for our trip the next day.
  • The lounge was quite busy and we had to park way at the back.

“This is a very convenient hotel if you are traveling out of Vancouver by air or by ferry. The staff is very efficient and quick, and seemed to handle large groups very well.”

“This facility met our expectations of a low priced facility for a short term stay. It was clean and in an excellent location for us.”

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful.
  • Hotel was under renovation. Elevator (only 1) was very slow.

“I think after renovations, this Comfort Inn will be very nice and accommodating. We just happened to be there when things were a bit messed up. The staff was great. I would stay there again if I knew renovations were finished.”

  • Convenient, close to shopping malls.
  • Not much choice for complimentary breakfast.

“Conveniently located, close to airport and shopping area. Don't expect too much from the complimentary breakfast. Only toast, cereal, juice and coffee were served.”

“You should be ashamed calling this a 2 star hotel. This place is a dive.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[6]

  • Close to the Vancouver Airport. Good access, easy to get in and out of.
  • Sporadic Internet services, sparse cold breakfast.

“Hotel meets basic traveling needs requirements. Room was clean. Good air conditioner and television offered good cable selection. Internet was down the night I checked in, Up the next day intermittently. Breakfast consisted of bread, hard boiled eggs, and cereal. A toaster and butter with jam were available. Coffee, apple and orange juice, and Milk provided for drink.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[4] • Location:[2]

  • Close to airport.
  • Disgusting, parking lot difficult to enter.

“Though my expectations were for the hotel only to meet the bare minimum, even those low standards were not met. It is laughable that it was considered to be a 2 star hotel. The location, though close to the airport, was irritating as the parking lot was very difficult to enter if you were coming from the direction of the city. The room, aside from being frightfully outdated, was unclean and uninviting. The mattress had been turned over, but had visible stains (looking too much like blood for comfort) on the underside. Our room overlooked a lot filled with rusted pieces of abandoned machinery and broken tree limbs. I would have been terrified to stay there alone. The television, a welcome distraction, periodically would turn to static, even on network channels. My husband tripped over broken tile that lay in fragments in the entry way of the lobby. Despite a location that made it easy to catch our early flight out, I will never return to the Comfort Inn in Richmond BC. It was vile and I felt ripped off.”

  • I do not want to stay in this hotel again. I would never recommend this hotel.
  • All.

“Comfort Inn hotel in 3031 No. 3 Road Richmond is the worse hotel I ever stayed at. There's no temperature control. Hallways and elevator too tight and dirty. We paid too much for this hotel and not fair. We stayed here for 6 nights. We reserved 2 rooms and requested to have one adjacent to each other since we have 3 under 17 years of age, but they were not very flexible. The front desk staff not very friendly nor helpful. The location is not very safe. I have always been satisfied in the past. We stayed in other 2 different hotels in this vacation (Hawthorn-Seattle on June 14-15) and (Doubletree, Seattle on June 23-35) and both were great and we are very satisfied.”

  • Convenient shuttle to the airport.
  • Dirty, smelly, rude front desk people, restaurant's food is bad.

“This hotel is in a bad location, really unpleasant to the eye. It's in dire need of a makeover. The carpets are dirty and there is a funky smell throughout the whole place. One of my guests accidentally ordered a pay-per-view movie and when I called to cancel they said it wasn't possible and gave a fake number to call told me I should deal with them myself. Every time I had a question the people at the front desk were rude and very disinterested in helping. Every time I walked passed the front desk there were other guests upset about something or another. There is nothing within walking distance. The bus is one block away but takes an hour to get into Vancouver The food at the restaurant downstairs is terrible and its service is incredibly slow. But the shuttle to the airport is convenient and only takes 10 minutes.”

  • Location is good for me.
  • Quality of the hotel and staff is not up to two stars rating.

“1. We have a group of four people staying in the hotel. The front desk staff insisted giving us a one bed room and asked for walk-in price to upgrade to a two bed room. After a some time of negotiation, he lowered the upgrade price first to $45, then to $30. Although I do not think it's fair, but after a long day, we do not want to bargain any longer and paid $30 more for a two bed room. 2. The address of this hotel in priceline.com is wrong. It's in No.3. Road, not in the Third Ave. They are half hour apart.”

“I have never experienced such a stay in a hotel in my life. My husband is a traveling person and so we are in hotels a lot, but this was horrible. The toilet was blocked so I called down to the front desk, after more than 30 min I called again and was told that a plunger was left outside my door. I had to do it myself! Then the smoke detector started going off (I have 2 boys under7), it was waking them every 20-30 min. I called desk again and again after more than 30 min called again and was told I would have to switch rooms (it was midnight!) and have to leave my boys alone and come and get the key. After switching to the new room, I noticed it was chilly, I asked how the heat worked? Was told it didn't and was given a space heater. I explained how this was unacceptable, I have 2 small boys, if they got up in the middle of the night or morning and touched it they could certainly burn themselves. Next morning I took a shower and my youngest came in to use the rest room and slipped and fell because the shower head was faulty and not only sprayed me in the shower but everything out of it too. They sent someone 5 hours later to fix it. Nothing was ever said or done, no apology, nothing, they didn¿t even care and calls to their head office got nothing either. Will not use any comfort ever again. Never stay here.”
