• It was near the Airport. Good shuttle service.
• It was very dirty. Someone should clean the rugs!

“If the floors weren't so dirty I would rate it quite good. But all I saw were the dirty rugs. I couldn't get past them.”

• With the new Canada line in operation you can be in downtown Vancouver in 25 minutes.

“Good value for money. Location (since the new Sky Train line has been opened) is now excellent 12 minute walk to the station, 23 minutes into downtown Vancouver. No driving or parking problems, fantastic. Lovely park adjacent to the hotel.”

• The desk clerk was very helpful and courteous in giving directions around the city.
• The front entry needed cleaning and tidiness.

“We liked most everything about this hotel. Good value for the money. Very nice breakfast included. Good location near park and walkable to public trans. Shuttle to/from airport is a plus.”

• Carpets need replacing.

• The complimentary continental breakfast exceeded expectations.
• Not enough underground parking.

“The staff at this hotel was very friendly and courteous. The complimentary continental breakfast exceeded our expectations in that they served fresh cooked waffles when we were there. We understand that on certain days, they serve scrambled eggs instead. The breakfast is even served by a staff member. She was very friendly and eager to help. The location of the hotel is easy to find and in a safe area of town. Lots of restaurants near by. The park out back was very nice.”

“This hotel is very affordable and about a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. Also, the staff is friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. However, if you are visiting to see Vancouver, it is inconvenient because of the location (about a 30 minute taxi ride from downtown Vancouver).”

• Comfortable bed & Jacuzzi tub.
• Lobby & hallways dreary, need painting, dirty windows.

“It was comfortable, great for short stays, but wouldn't want to stay longer. Not an appealing lobby, all corridors & carpeting in dark colors. Needs to be brightened up. Staff was friendly & a good continental breakfast.”

• It had a king-size bed.
• Its shuttle stopped running well before our plane arrived, necessitating an expensive cab ride.

“It's a bed for the night. That's all we were looking for, but I wouldn't recommend it as a pleasure destination.”

• Convenient location, closed to airport and city center.
• Room not clean, the equipment in rest room is broken not replaced.

“They don't really care about the cleanliness, like outside of the balcony is so horrible, their beds are too small not really comfortable. Their janitors do not provide good services, like when you ask for help they are not willing to do.”

• Convenient to airport and BC ferry.
• Small room.

“We needed a hotel that was close to the Vancouver airport, not a long drive to the ferry terminal and included continental breakfast. This hotel suited all of that. We were only there for a short overnight stay so did not use any of the surrounding area other than the friendly pub across the street for a cold beer after a late night check-in. It worked well for our purposes and we would stay there again when traveling to Vancouver Island.”

• Smells dirty, old looking, abandoned.

“Ramada chain is on its way down. It used to be reliable at one point, but now compares to a motel 6. This hotel was really run down. Rooms smelled dusty. Our king size bed had a twin size head board. Doors and paint was chipped. Did not feel safe in hotel. Will not stay at a Ramada hotel ever again. This experience and a previous one sealed the deal.”

• Location, near airport and within walking distance to major shopping mall.
• Had to "sign up" with credit card to get phone service, even for local calls.

“This was a convenient stopover for the night after picking up our young adult son at Vancouver airport, on our way to whistler for a ski trip. Very convenient, underground secured parking (free), and the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Not fancy, but we would stay there again. Free continental breakfast is also a plus. Half the cost of the sandman, where we usually stay.”

• I enjoyed the friendliness of the front desk staff. They were very helpful and had great attitudes.
• There isn't much around the hotel to do if you're there for a few days.

“This is a good, clean hotel providing basic services and comfortable, clean rooms. The showers were particularly nice with great shower heads and lots of water pressure. This is a good hotel for short stays for business travel or layovers at the airport.”

• Clean, quiet. We really had a great stay there.
• Parking was limited. Wasn't able to connect to internet, but we were there long enough to be online anyway.

“We book our room blindly online, and were very pleased with our room. We requested a non-smoking room with a balcony. It was very quaint, the staff was great. The parking was a bit tight, but overall, our hotel experience was great. We will definitely stay there again if we get back to the Vancouver area.”
