• The view from our room was stunning. Our hotel was in downtown Montréal, a short walk to many interesting sites.
• The pool heater was broken and the pool was closed. The hot tub was 106'f, an unsafe temperature.

“My husband had always admired the exterior of the Marriott chateau Champlain; we were all pleased at the loveliness of the interior. Our family of four was treated kindly even though we did not speak French.”

• Staff was excellent.
• Oversold the rooms.

“We had a late check in and they apparently gave our room away. In return they booked us into the Fairmont which is just up the street and arranged and paid for our transportation.”

• Great location, very nice room.
• Hairdryer didn't work & toilet ran.

“Very nice hotel. Two blocks from the bell centre and a 10 minute walk from shopping. Parking is not through the hotel and is $18/day without in/out privileges ($24/day for the valet) great location for a hockey game or a concert.”

• The room, the view and the location.
• Price of parking.

“Hotel is thirty+ years old. It shows signs of wear in places and elegance due to age in other places. It was very comfortable, affordable and a great location to stay. Staff was very friendly whether you tipped or not.”

• The view from room.
• Bathroom & additional parking cost of $24 per day.

“The valet parking is ripping off & should be included in the price of the room. I made $72 for parking for 3 days. Unbelievable. It was not disclosed & I was quite upset. The bathroom was poor & needs to be renovated. I could not take a bath because it was old.”

• The decorations in the room. The view was fantastic.
• The parking were fees $18.00 a day.

“This is our 2nd trip to Montreal the first one being in 2006 but this yr we stayed for 7days.our location was right near almost everything. The view fantastic and the rooms were very clean and charming. Very friendly staff and very helpful. The room service was timely and the staff will go the extra mile to help. I will tell you that if you are driving the parking is $18 a day. You can find a few local public lots about 2 to 4 blocks away for $8 a day a nice secure locations just ask the staff the will direct you even give you a map. The smoke alarms are very sensitive and when showering at least in our room it will alarm. Easily solved just close the bathroom door. Other then that the stay was great and we will be staying there again on our next trip.”

• Everything was great! No complaints.

• Easy, quick access in and around facility, great service with valet, housekeeping, and concierge.
• Infrastructure of location made it difficult to get to front of building, not hotel's fault.

“Excellent rooms, friendly bilingual staff, clean no disappointments at all. Would love to stay there again anytime. Valet always on time no hold ups. Best hotel bed I can ever recall sleeping in.”

• Need another waffle machine on the breakfast buffet.

“Perfect location, friendly helpful staff and a comfy room made for a great stay in dynamic Montreal. The hotel is a short walk to St. Catherine street shopping, Crescent Street dining, is located on top of a Metro station and is just 20 minutes to the airport. Crisp bed linens with a cozy comforter made you want to sleep in - but you don't want to miss the great city.”

• This luxurious hotel is only 2 blocks away from the center of pedestrian-tourist traffic.
• As usual, the parking fee, $18/day, made us consider on-street or other parking, but we used hotel's parking anyway.

“The stay was excellent overall. Hotel administration needs to be aware that at least one valet speeds recklessly through the hotel parking area, screeching the tires on clients' cars.”

• Location good for walking and had a good shower.
• Toilet wasn't flushing and it took a long time to get it fixed.

“Location is easy to drive to and within walking distance of sights and services. Internet connection worked well. Housekeeping was slow to respond to plumbing problem and had to be called back to clean area. The pool wasn't really good for children or for swimming. Staff were friendly, particularly in restaurant and the valets for parking. Adequate hotel if you weren't going to be spending too much time there or if you were working at computer/phone.”
