  • Comfortable bed.
  • Had to go the lobby for free internet.

“I suggest that Marriott install free wireless internet in the rooms as this is a standard in most hotels that I have stayed in and especially for a 4 star hotel. The chairs and sofas in the lobby is old and needs to be replaced. The beds were very comfortable in the room but the bathroom was pretty old for a 4 star.”

  • very clean and staff very helpful
  • Staff could not figure out that for four people in the room they needed to supply more cups , coffee ,efx

“Nice hotel.Pool was closed for two days due to clorine problem???Parking was a little pricey and out of the way.Restaurants very pricey and not kid friendly. But the guy at the desk ordered a great pizza for us one nite”

  • The family play rooms were amazing and gave us the down time needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Pool not working when arrived; offered access to pool at adjacent facility, but the timing didn't work out for us. Not their fault.

“Excellent location. Amazing family play rooms. Pool and gym seemed wonderful. Staff was very helpful.”

  • Convenient.
  • Ugly lobby and not great rooms for a 4 star hotel.

“Overall, nice, but does it deserve a 4 star? Not sure about that.”

  • good location downtown.
  • the room is a closet. you can barely walk in it.

“have stayed in about 20 marriot's in north america. This one by far is the worst of the lot. The room I got was the same as run of the mill 2 star hotels yet this Marriot is trying to pass as a 4 star. Not even close!”

  • Location, cleanliness, and staff.
  • Misleading menu, over-rated food at top floor.

“We stayed 3 nights at the hotel, July 20-23rd. Great location and most of the staff was very good. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. But, we did have an unacceptable experience in 29th floor, rotating gourmet restaurant. The 6 of us went up with most wanting to order the advertised Rack of Lamb on menu. A menu also pasted on bottom floor and Rack of Lamb also advertised in the rooms. Upon sitting, ordering drinks, getting drinks and then trying to order the waiter immediately explains that the Rack of Lamb is not really a Rack of Lamb, but 2 lamb chops. Strange, we have had Rack of Lamb in many restaurants, including Montreal 3 days before (Queen Elizabeth Hotel) and always got Rack of Lamb as globally known. The waiter was ready to tell us that it was not what menu said! This, after we were sipping drinks. Question is: Why doesn't someone clarify the menu? Must happen frequently! Mentioned it to Marriot and got reply from manager that it was a communication issue. I'm not sure I liked that answer even though they did offer us free breakfast for the inconvenience and selection of other items we did not like. Otherwise a good place to stay.”

  • Clean and spacious and close to House of Parliament.

“The hotel was nice, staff was
pleasant and location great.”

  • Comfortable beds.
  • No queen size beds. No mini bars in rooms. Poor desk setup.

“The hotel used to be a Ramada, I believe. It's been spruced up a bit but isn't up to Marriott standards. My room had a large flaw in the wall that had simply been wallpapered over. The desk setup is extremely poor for business travelers. It would have been difficult to position the TV to be viewed from the one armchair in the room. They've installed HD LCD TVs in the rooms but only have a Standard deficiency signal. Why bother? The hotel information binder outlined an express check out feature using the TV that isn't available at this hotel. It can be done using the telephone but I still had to call down to the front desk to confirm I was checked out because there was no message on the phone process. All in all, I'm disappointed for it being a Marriott.”

  • The large size of the beautifully appointed room. Such a fresh fragrance too.
  • Lobby rug and general area was a little tired and needs refurbishing.

“Excellent location, easy check in and out, nice restaurant for breakfast, large, well appointed room and such a very comfortable bed. The only criticism I have is the silly one cup coffee maker.”

  • The staff were excellent.
  • Very small bathroom.

“Even though the hotel was full and extremely busy, the staff was excellent in it's attempt to satisfy all our needs.”

  • Location central. Swimming pool nice, and there is a childrens playroom although we didn't use it.
  • Breakfast not complimentary, but Tim Hortons, Starbucks etc, close by.

“Nice hotel. Room was not massive nor did it feel ultra luxurious, but it was pleasant. The location is great, walking distance to parliament and right in the downtown core. We didn't mind paying $17 for parking under the hotel, it is handy and it was only $17 for 24 hours.”

  • Not on-par with what I consider a 4 star hotel, no hot tub and rooms were only average.

“A bit of a disappointment as it was not on-par with what I consider a 4 star hotel. There was no hot tub and rooms were only average. But the location was very convienent.”

  • The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Liked having Starbucks inside.
  • A little more dated than most other Marriott's these days. Also, hammering in a.m. that staff went and found, and stopped.

“As always, appreciate the Marriott bed/bedding. This particular Marriott is somewhat outdated (wallpaper, bathroom) compared with most we've stayed at recently although the large plasma TV was nice. We ate breakfast in the revolving restaurant on the 28th floor which was a bonus, as it was a beautiful, clear day and having the Parliament buildings as a backdrop was very special.”

  • Location.
  • If room entrance had not been directly in (5) elevator foyer it may have been nicer.

“The hotel itself was nice. I always try to avoid elevators, stairwells & ice machines - unfortunately our room door was directly across from the lobby of 5 elevators. You could hear people at all hours conversing.”

  • Dirty and poor response from staff to that.

“Not good. Many other options. Stay away.”

  • Friendliness of front desk staff.
  • Hotel parking, slow service in restaurant.

“Good location, confusion finding public parking linked to the hotel.”

  • Staff friendliness upon arriving.
  • No
free wireless Internet. Pool was small.

“Great Location, Nice eating establishment options in house and parking cost are a little high, $20.00 for all day in/out parking to not reasonable off season.”

  • The bed was comfortable.
  • The location was terrible and parking was overpriced.

“The hotel is a very basic offering. If you simply needed a clean place to lay your head at night, this is perfect. It's a solid 3-star property.”

  • Good location and friendly service.
  • Did not meet star expectation: no in room bar, no hotel movies, room service and hotel bar closed early (10AM), the place was noisy due to many children.

“It was fine. Was simply missing the required amenities. The service was friendly but not as professional as expected.

  • Great staff.
  • Power was out for the first part of our stay.

“They were doing something with the power during our stay, which resulted in our anniversary getaway ending up with two double beds and a lot of headache. However, after explaining the situation, the hotel staff upgraded us to a larger room and provided us with a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. It was greatly appreciated, and made the difference between a wonderful stay and a miserable one.”
