“I suggest that Marriott install free wireless internet in the rooms as this is a standard in most hotels that I have stayed in and especially for a 4 star hotel. The chairs and sofas in the lobby is old and needs to be replaced. The beds were very comfortable in the room but the bathroom was pretty old for a 4 star.”

“have stayed in about 20 marriot's in north america. This one by far is the worst of the lot. The room I got was the same as run of the mill 2 star hotels yet this Marriot is trying to pass as a 4 star. Not even close!”

“We stayed 3 nights at the hotel, July 20-23rd. Great location and most of the staff was very good. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. But, we did have an unacceptable experience in 29th floor, rotating gourmet restaurant. The 6 of us went up with most wanting to order the advertised Rack of Lamb on menu. A menu also pasted on bottom floor and Rack of Lamb also advertised in the rooms. Upon sitting, ordering drinks, getting drinks and then trying to order the waiter immediately explains that the Rack of Lamb is not really a Rack of Lamb, but 2 lamb chops. Strange, we have had Rack of Lamb in many restaurants, including Montreal 3 days before (Queen Elizabeth Hotel) and always got Rack of Lamb as globally known. The waiter was ready to tell us that it was not what menu said! This, after we were sipping drinks. Question is: Why doesn't someone clarify the menu? Must happen frequently! Mentioned it to Marriot and got reply from manager that it was a communication issue. I'm not sure I liked that answer even though they did offer us free breakfast for the inconvenience and selection of other items we did not like. Otherwise a good place to stay.”

“The hotel used to be a Ramada, I believe. It's been spruced up a bit but isn't up to Marriott standards. My room had a large flaw in the wall that had simply been wallpapered over. The desk setup is extremely poor for business travelers. It would have been difficult to position the TV to be viewed from the one armchair in the room. They've installed HD LCD TVs in the rooms but only have a Standard deficiency signal. Why bother? The hotel information binder outlined an express check out feature using the TV that isn't available at this hotel. It can be done using the telephone but I still had to call down to the front desk to confirm I was checked out because there was no message on the phone process. All in all, I'm disappointed for it being a Marriott.”

“Excellent location, easy check in and out, nice restaurant for breakfast, large, well appointed room and such a very comfortable bed. The only criticism I have is the silly one cup coffee maker.”

“Nice hotel. Room was not massive nor did it feel ultra luxurious, but it was pleasant. The location is great, walking distance to parliament and right in the downtown core. We didn't mind paying $17 for parking under the hotel, it is handy and it was only $17 for 24 hours.”

“A bit of a disappointment as it was not on-par with what I consider a 4 star hotel. There was no hot tub and rooms were only average. But the location was very convienent.”

“As always, appreciate the Marriott bed/bedding. This particular Marriott is somewhat outdated (wallpaper, bathroom) compared with most we've stayed at recently although the large plasma TV was nice. We ate breakfast in the revolving restaurant on the 28th floor which was a bonus, as it was a beautiful, clear day and having the Parliament buildings as a backdrop was very special.”

“The hotel itself was nice. I always try to avoid elevators, stairwells & ice machines - unfortunately our room door was directly across from the lobby of 5 elevators. You could hear people at all hours conversing.”

“The hotel is a very basic offering. If you simply needed a clean place to lay your head at night, this is perfect. It's a solid 3-star property.”

“They were doing something with the power during our stay, which resulted in our anniversary getaway ending up with two double beds and a lot of headache. However, after explaining the situation, the hotel staff upgraded us to a larger room and provided us with a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. It was greatly appreciated, and made the difference between a wonderful stay and a miserable one.”
