• Nothing.
• Everything.

“First we were sent to a room that had not been cleaned, then the second room, both doors were not locked. Great feeling of security. There were no clean towels, the drain in the shower was clogged and after one shower there was no hot water for a second shower!
Paying $65 a night for this dump was humiliating. And the people who were in the pool did not look like guests either!”

• There was nothing I liked about the place.

“The first room they put me in they knew the AC unit was broken and did not tell me. I had to complain and ask them to at least give me a fan for the second night. The wireless internet did not work in the room either. After I complained they moved me to another room that had the same problem with the internet because they new the router had problems. In the third room I was given the internet worked because it was on a different router. The AC unit still had problems but I could make it work. The other person I was traveling with had to move three times as well.”

• Roof in hotel room was peeling and crowded.

“First they gave us a room that was supposed to be non-smoking and it reaked of smoke. Also we had asked for two beds and they gave us a king size bed. They did change that. The room did not have a clock of any kind. Also no blow dryer, but they did bring us one when we requested it. The ironing board was set up already in the room. But it took a lot of space. but it is a one star I guess, but I think we paid too much for it”

• Doesn't deserve star rating as are outdated, poorly maintained.

“Non-smoking room smells smoking every where and when asked the front desk people gave me another non-smoking but still with lots of smells of smoking. Wife who arrived late on another flight was depressed and we moved to Ramada Downtown Calgary.”

• Very conveniently and centrally located to everything I required.
• Lots of traffic noise.

“Staff was great and very friendly. Hotel had easy and close access to a wide variety of services, shopping etc. As well as easy access to main road routes and easy and direct access to airport. Would not be what I consider an upscale hotel but was very clean and comfortable.”

• Nothing, it was absolute horror if I could have found something else I would have.
• Filthy! Puke behind the night stand, TV didn't work unreal.

“The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, we kept our socks on as the carpet was unbelievable and with out a doubt the dirtiest place I have ever stayed! I travel weekly and have stayed in a lot of places but never anything as bad as this.”

• Brunch good (when there was food). Quiet room.
• Food area for self serve and eating ridiculously small. Rancid shower and curtain stunk up the whole room (changed when staff informed).

“Adequate for the traveler who does not have high expectations. Don't count on a leisure brunch until the ridiculously small self serve and eating area is remedied.”

“I have been to more than 20 countries around the world and more than 40 hotels all stars this hotel is the most bad, dirty and very low class I have ever been. The bed sheets, towels and bellows of some shelters in Edmonton are better, cleaner than this hotel. I can¿t believe it this is a nightmare. Please do not recommend this hotel to any of your customers.”

• Friendly staff, continental breakfast.
• Run down, dirty hallways, broken things in the room (dresser, chair).

“We didn't have really high expectations since this motel is a 2 star and we were right. The hallways were dirty, the rooms were not as clean as I would like, things were broken (the dresser and the chair in our room) and the furnishings were old. The motel staff was friendly and a complimentary breakfast was provided, which was nice. This motel was not horrible but it was not a place we would stay again.”

• Dirty, door latches broken, wake up calls not working, alarm clock broken, stench in the room, staff cool and unfriendly, and unclean, dirty sheets.

“Overall, would not recommend anyone to stay there, it was overall a very unpleasant experience; you should take this hotel off your list of hotels that you recommend to your customers.”

“One of the most disgusting places I had stayed in ever. If not prepaid, I¿d have walked out. Non smoking room smelled like an old saloon; bedspread had cigarette burns. Mattress, chair and carpets were stained. I was afraid to touch anything for fear of filth and disease. Only redeeming quality -- staff were very nice.”

“I really enjoyed my stay and found the room service was excellent. I was a little worried after reading other reviews but found that they were incorrect. A great hotel at a very good price.”

• The rooms were outdated and not fresh. The pool & spa cold no heat.

“Hotel was very run down, had to wait over five minutes to check in as no one was at desk. The phone rang the entire time I waited. The room wasn't cleaned properly when we checked in...Was something (toenail?) In tub, rings on bedside table. Carpet appeared dirty. Not a pleasant place to stay. Cannot believe it has the Ramada name associated to it. When we left, went to desk, and girl at desk was abrupt, and rude. Will never stay there again!!! I do not recommend this hotel.”

• The person who checked me in was excellent in every way.
• The cigarette smell in the room and on the towels.

“Overall, I was pleased with this hotel. It was convenient for my visit to Calgary. If I get the same rate next time, I will stay at this Ramada again.”

“Have sent a complaint letter to Ramada and they have forwarded it to the franchise for further review. Very disappointed in the quality of this Ramada. Ramada has responded to me at this point.”

“One of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. Non smoking room smelt like smoke because the room below was smoking. I had to fix the curtains because they were falling down, and the light from the balcony still woke me up in the night shining through. Room was clean but comforter had a rip. The hair conditioner in the room was used before. And when I returned from being away all day the maid or someone left my room door jammed open. My partner in an other room had problems with phone, TV, heat would not go off, and when they fixed the phone it still didn't work. Also the hallways looked like they had not been vacuumed for a week. And the pool had things floating in it (not quite sure what but did not go in). Unless you are a partier I wouldn't stay here. 2 nights in a row parties till 4am. After 3 nights left and got a room at the Econolodge 2231 Banff Trail N.W. for a meer $14 dollars more a night. From a 1 star at Ramada to a 8.5 star at the Econolodge.”
