• Location, coffee in room.
• The expense of the parking and the fact it took 1/2 to get your car.

“Hotel was great, staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the lounge wasn't open for lunch and we had to go to a more expensive option in the hotel. Loved having a coffee shop in the hotel, it would have been nice if it stayed open longer.”

• No gym access, high price of parking.

“Conveniently located in downtown, parking nearby is cheaper than in the hotel, no gym or pool access, refreshing flavored water in hotel lobby.”

• The room was old.

“Overall the hotel was pretty good but the room was old and the chair in the corner was dirty. The Hyatt in Vancouver was much nicer.”

• Bed and bedding were very nice.
• Road construction around hotel.

“Very helpful valet parking attendants made it easier to work around road construction in downtown Calgary. We moved through check-in and check-out with ease, a very pleasant one night stay. It was also very nice to have Starbucks located right in the lobby, we picked up lattes when we left.”

• Beds were way too soft.

• Friendliness and helpfulness of staff was outstanding. Staff were knowledgeable and resourceful. Thanks for the map and umbrellas!
• Parking was awkward, construction nearby was awful. In-room coffee was gross.

“This was the nicest hotel I've stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful: chasing after us to give us umbrellas when it was raining, giving us maps and showing us exactly where to go, describing the local transit so we knew which train to get on. The room was comfortable and nice-looking, and the bed was fabulous. Nice view of the city skyline at night, but constant construction during the day made it a bit hard to get around. If I have any complaints, it's that the in-room coffee was awful and they only gave us enough cream/sugar for one person, but I suppose they are trying to encourage people to go to the Starbucks downstairs. I would recommend this hotel to others, and already have.”

• Location was great, good atmosphere, good staff.
• Expensive valet services.

“Our stay here was great. There was a challenge upon leaving with getting our rental vehicle (they lost the keys), however they handled this with much class and were very helpful, and apologetic. I would definitely return to this hotel as well as recommend it to others traveling in the Calgary area.”

• Convenient well thought out good pool and gym.
• Parking was a hassle and the hotel is surrounded by construction.

“Very nice facility in a great location if you want access to downtown amenities. Good rooms friendly staff, great exercise and pool facilities. Unfortunately parking is an issue but the valet service was efficient. There is also a lot of construction in Downtown Calgary right now.”

• They allowed us to check out at 3:30. We had an evening flight to Europe and took a nap.
• No free wireless internet in the room. It costs the hotel very little and means so much to us! There was no mini-bar.

“Fantastic. The king size bed had 6 pillows and down comforters. The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. We had 4 large bath towels. Super.”

• The fact that my room key (card) did not work in the elevator and I had to get another one.

• I loved the entire experience.
• I like every detail.

“I felt like a princess in the Marriot Calgary. From the moment I drove into the parking lot, the great care of the staff, the atmosphere, the strawberries and mint water to the room! It was so wonderful. Every need I had was promptly taken care of. I was in heaven my short stay! I have never been treated better in high style!”
