• Clean comfortable rooms. Beautiful mountain views.
• A little outside Banff. could walk in, but wouldn't want to walk back at 1:00 a.m.

• Cabin like hotel in mountain.
• Not so friendly.

“The Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is a large complex of many buildings just outside the town of Banff. The quality of the rooms is good to very good; each has a gas fireplace, refrigerator, and comfortable furnishings. The location away from the town will be a plus for some people, but a minus for most. While only 3 miles--four minutes--drive from town, it seemed isolated. It has an indoor pool, a small and simple ten-table dining room, a larger casual lounge-bar, two tennis courts, two squash courts, and a large workout room. The facilities should appeal to fitness addicts. Despite the extensive and generally good (not great) facilities, the property lacks the charm that virtually all the other Banff resorts had in great measure. Service was okay, but lacked the warmth and personality that we found in other properties in this area.”
