• Location.
• The rooms were not clean too small no restaurant staff was incompetent.

“The hotel is very well located. However, the rooms are a lot small then they look on the pictures. There is no room to walk around or to put you luggage and the only place we can sit to watch the television is on the bed. The rooms are not very clean, no real door to the washrooms, no fan. The soap / shampoo were of very low quality. The remora control for the television did not work and could not be fixed after 5:00pm. The bed needs to be replaced. The restaurant is closed in the winter. The walls need to be repainted. The staff at the reception desk is not competent. I had to modify my initial reservation and it took over 20 minutes on the phone to do. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Absolutely charming, nice staff, fun pub, good breakfast, very close to everything.
• Poor water pressure for shower.

“A small, old, charming hotel in the inner harbor area of Victoria. The room was great: large, blooming flowers in the window pots, nice comforters, all the amenities including free wireless. ”

• The beds were amazing.
• The coffee in restaurant was really bad and the showers could use some work.

“The hotel right on Government St. We walked right out of the lobby into the thick of it. The beds were amazing, but the showers took a little getting used to. Overall I had a really good experience.”
