“The hotel itself is OK, if not somewhat dated. We picked this hotel for the view of the St. John's Harbor, which was fantastic, and that's about all we enjoyed of the experience. Yes, the hotel is clean and the staff was OK but in the end, it was more aggravation than anything else. I was in a room on the 4th floor, there were no rooms above me however there was a loose air vent that did nothing but scrape the roof the entire time I stayed in the room. I complained to the hotel staff - I was told that maintenance wasn't on site (at 7 pm on a weekday evening) as the night went on, the noise got worse - at 11:30 pm I took a recording on my camcorder, went down again to the front desk, and was told nothing would be done and to talk to someone the next morning. I went back to my room and attempted to sleep - but even my iPod on full blast was not enough to drown out the noise. The next morning, I talked to the hotel manager - and I was asked if I wanted to check out as there was nothing they could do - Couldn't move my room as the hotel was full - there were a lot of conventions in town and no hotels had availability, so I had no choice but to stay in the room. Even when maintenance came in - nothing was done - I was never informed of anything they were going to do for me, or if they even had someone to try to fix it. Also on the fourth floor was an entire sports team, I was in the middle of a bunch of people who knew each other and had no respect for anyone else. The kids were constantly running up and down the hallways screaming and talking - this started anywhere from 8 pm and continued onto and after 1 am. Again complaints were made to hotel staff and not much was done about it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - ever. I travel a lot and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel.”

• Very good location, need upgrades in and out.
• Looks very old, renovation for front desk would help & then some.

• The location and the view overlooking harbor.
• Hotel needs upgrading, hire an interior decorator.

“It was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. Electrical outlets, phone buttons, TV, clock radio all not working properly. After making formal complaint to the manager, I was told that it was more or less my own fault, I should have complained right away and had someone come in and fix it and that they would get back to me within 2 - 3 days, as of yet (one week) I have heard nothing. No! I am not satisfied I would never recommend or stay in the hotel again.”
