“Dirty and expensive! I've seen other rooms in other hotels in Quebec city that were better than this. The only positives that I can say here were the location and maybe the view on the Chateau Frontenac from the 15th floor we were on. But it was absolutely not worth it and I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anybody. Avoid at all cost!”

“This hotel is wonderfully located and has a helpful concierge service. The air conditioning didn't work in the room, they sent up a repairman, it still didn't work. We called the next morning and no one came. When we came back later that evening we called again, the new repairman said we just need to fool with the thermostat. We had to wake up twice in the middle of the night to fool with the thermostat. It only stayed on for an hour or two. The minibar fridge was warm, the repairman fixed that. The ironing board was missing. It took 4 calls to get one.”

“This hotel is in a great position, right by the Plains of Abraham and the Grand Allee. From the minute we walked through the door, we were disappointed by staff in t-shirts and jeans for uniforms, fraying carpets, dirty mirrors, etc. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had a suite with a great view. This was marred by the dirty sheets on one bed and the sofa bed and the horrible black mould in the bathroom which hadn't been scrubbed for a very long time. I have never stayed in a hotel, motel or B&B with a bathroom like that. We won't stay there again.”

“The AC was replaced at no help. Gave us a room that has a huge corridor next to the elevator and could not be conditioned and nothing was done to fix it; the elevators do not work well. Long lines to get to the room sometimes it took more than 30 minutes in the morning to get to the lobby, it seems the staff knew about the problems but nothing was done to improve it.”

“The hotel was great, but we only found out about some of the events that were going on when we were leaving. Little disappointing. There was also a hotel Strike going on outside of the hotel when we were there.”

“Hotel is well located. Rooms are kind of old. Carpet in the rooms and sofas are really used beds are twins instead of queen. Water is 6$ a bottle. Parking is expensive (28$ for 2 days).”

“Great location. Cosmos around the corner has great breakfasts and a fun crowd for drinks at night. Hotel rooms are large but need renovating and updating. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.”

“Been there last summer. Still a very nice hotel has made a few updates since last year (rooms refurbished, card entry keys). But common areas need a lot of upgrading to keep the name Loews to par. Would return especially because of the great location.”

“The location of this hotel was excellent. I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. The lobby was run down and dirty. The elevators did not work. The concierge was not helpful. The hotel ran out of regular coffee and that towels were all falling apart. The people in the gift shop were very nice and so were the valets.”

“The hotel staff was more than attentive, meeting our needs beyond expectations while we were there. During my stay I found my car with a flat tire that occurred while the car was parked in the hotel garage. They gave me a free dinner at their best restaurant and brunch next day; but with this they feel they have done enough for me. I think they need to be more responsive and assume responsibility for my damage while I was there. I was told someone will follow up, so far after four days no one has contacted me.”

“Excellent location close to major tourist sites. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but you have to ignore dirty elevators and corridors to get to them. Parking is totally inadequate and in comparison to other equivalent hotels, both parking and hotel food are overpriced.”
