“ This place was an economy hotel. We knew that going in. But we expected to at least be treated in a civil manner, and to at least experience our night of sleep without chattering teeth due to the lack of heat. Listen - we chose this hotel because it was cheap. We weren't expecting anything save the two points mentioned above. But this is Montreal in the winter. It was negative 30 (F) outside, and the heat in the hotel itself never reached over 40 degrees. It was stupidly cold. There are other places that charge roughly as much and provide much more (Howard Johnson's, Days Inn, Motel 6, etc.). Not to mention the fact that there was no parking, incessant noise from the giant strip club next door and that the staff was incredibly rude. Go somewhere else for about 10 dollars more. You'll be glad that you did. ”

“The room was small, perfect for the single traveler. The hotel was immaculate and was in a great location on Saint Denis. The only complaint I have is that the central air in the room did not seem to work adequately but the hallway right outside my room was freezing. After my second complaint to a second person, I was given the chance to move to a different room, but found that room just as stuffy so I just stayed where I was and kept the windows open the whole time. I am not sure how they controlled the central air but they seemed to say that it was not working because I opened the windows, but the only reason I opened the windows was because when I first arrived the room was very warm and stuffy and I kept the windows open because the AC never seemed to kick in. I felt because of the slight language barrier we never solved the issue but having the window open kept the room relatively comfortable.”

“Good location in the Latin quarter. For the price it certainly was acceptable. Located next door to a strip joint. The staff was generally not very friendly and only moderately helpful. Of course, I didn't expect much and so wasn't disappointed.”

“This was the worst experience. The hotel was located in a very rough part of town, no parking, staff was horrible. It was so bad we did not stay and I lost money I spent on the room which I would love to get credited. I had to go rent another hotel room because we did not feel safe here.”

“Exceeded expectations by far! Was a decent hotel, nothing special but not bad either. The area was great though! We went during Just for Laughs and the events and parade were right out the front door, and was within walking distance to everything else! This hotel is a gem for anyone looking for a cheap but good time! I will definitely be looking into this place on my next trip to Montreal”

“You get what you pay for! This hotel is pretty much a hostel (though I have stayed in hostels much better and much worse). It was raining heavily the day we arrived and the ceiling was leaking in both hallway and room. When the rain ceased, the leaks did as well. The rooms were a bit cramped, but we were not in town to spend time in our rooms. There was free wireless internet and the rooms were pretty clean. That combined with the prime location for the Just For Laughs festival made it a good choice for the budget conscious traveler!”

“This hotel was miserable. The continental breakfast was a glass of half frozen orange juice and choice of a croissant or muffin from Costco. It was loud- always too hot or cold and filthy.”

“This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I was forced to leave the hotel after my first nights stay because the night attendant told me I had to remove all personally belongings from my car that he was in or it would be broken into.. Since the hotel had no elevator and they refused to honor my request for a first floor room I had to leave in the middle of the night and drive 5 hours home. I would recommend staying at any of the other hotels in the area.”

“This hotel is in a central location with easy access to the metro. Plan on bringing extra money for parking because there is none on the premises. You will have to park in a public lot. For two and a half day's parking it cost $24.00 and you have to feed the meter every 24 hours. This hotel is of the no frills variety.”

“Stayed one night at this hotel on a weekend. The room was small, but enough for two people to spend a night or two. Very good location. St. Denis was lively at night. Overall, good place to stay if you are looking for a nice little place to spend the night in downtown Montreal without spending a fortune.”

“It¿s a good hotel for a group of college kids or guys looking to spend time in Montréal. A good walk from all the great clubs on sty. Catherine¿s, but lots of nice restaurants and stores right on the street.”

“Great location in the Latin quarter, the rooms are small but they go well with the price. Not recommended in the winter time because it gets a little cold but the hotel staff was great and there is a nice crepe place next door as well as a nudie bar on the other side.”
