• Overlooks Niagara falls.
• Swimming area lacked attention and cleanness.

“Rooms were ok but the hotel looked tired, it needed a refurbish, staff was not very happy, the guy that checked us in was very miserable.”

• The location was great. I loved it.
• Our room that was supposed to have a view of the falls had the farthest thing from it. We had a view of tour buses and a parkade.

“Great hotel location but that's about it. The pool was teeny, the room service had poor hours and was overpriced, and the room view we had wasn't great, we won't be back to the Oakes again!”

• Only the location was ideal.
• As a doctor, I have to say that I worried about the cleanliness and health of my family while staying here. The room was filthy.

“I requested a room changed because the carpet was filthy and the smell in the room was nauseating. I was extremely displeased with this hotel. I will not return and I will certainly begrudge the time. My family was very disappointed--we did not use the bathing facilities as they were too unclean.”

• Unable to upgrade even though paying due to room availability.

“Also the more expensive of the 2 rooms had virtually no bathroom - not what I expect in a 4 star hotel - this was more 2-3 star level. The upgraded room on the 2nd night was acceptable.”

• Good Location that's about it.
• Rooms were little dirty.

“We got there little early and they asked us to wait because our room was not ready. I understand because we were about couple hours early. We were suppose to check in at 3 and our was still not ready. The staff showed me other room and I had to pay more. The room was little dirty and nothing seem to be working in the room. Our phone was not working, no minibar.”

• Noisy air conditioner.

“Good location: next door to Fallviews Casino and restaurants and shops, with nice view of the falls from the observation desk. The air conditioning in the room was really loud. I had to unplug it in order to sleep. The hotel hall ways can use better clean-ups.”

• Location of hotel is close to falls.
• The carpet in the room was filthy, there was 1 washcloth for 5 people, room had zero view, pool was tiny.

“This hotel clearly caters to their guests on the top few floors. Everyone else is less than important. The description of hotel only applies to the upper floors, the rest of this place is a dump! Truly overpriced for the quality. Additionally, there appears to be zero security as far as locked doors. Anyone can walk in off of the street.”
