• It was a place to sleep.
• Customer service of the hotel staff.

“We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Mississauga with our basketball team that was participating a tournament over Memorial Day weekend. Everything was fine until we went to leave on Monday morning around 8 a.m. and found our car broken into and vandalized. Not only was it just one car that was broken into and vandalized, there were five other cars this happened to as well. My car was parked next to the handicapped spot outside the door and nobody saw/heard anything! At first we were told, it must have happened between 2 and 3 in the morning. We come to find out that the hotel staff saw the broken into cars around 10/11 p.m., the night before, and neglected to report the incident to the police or even try and contact the owners of the vehicles. They take your license plate numbers at check in, common they can't look through that information to let the drivers know. Ridiculous! The hotel so far has done nothing to compensate us for our stay and the damage to our property. Not only was my drivers side window broken into, there was blood all over the door and drivers seat. Not to mention it was raining, so I had to get the window fixed before we even left to come back to the states. All five people whose cars were broken into are still waiting to hear back from the hotel. Apparently they don't take these things seriously, so I would advise against staying here, go somewhere else. This same kind of thing happened to one of my friends at a Marriott and they compensated her on the spot, in addition to covering all damages! I have yet to even receive a return phone call from the general manager; every time I call she is apparently too busy! Additionally, they refuse to call my insurance company to settle any of the claims!”

• Toilet overflowed for 2 straight days.

“After checking in to my room, the toilet overflowed the next morning flooding the bathroom. I spent 30 minutes cleaning up and bailing out the bowl contents. The problem was noted to the front staff who assured me it would be corrected. I was out for business the entire day. The next morning, the toilet overflowed again with the same results. I would not wish to return to the same hotel, even if the room was provided gratis. I expected that I would have been moved to another room or the toilet would have been thoroughly inspected prior to allowing the room to be occupied by me again.”

• The friendly staff and quick service, free internet.
• Small washroom, loud heater, no fridge.

“Simple, clean hotel. A bit out of the way but fairly priced. I would give it a 2- 2.5 star rating instead of the 3 star rating. Small washrooms and 1 of 4 ice machines I tried worked. Super friendly staff and quick service when required.”

“The hotel concierge refused to put us in a suite with a queen or king size bed. This is absurd since I did not request 2 twin beds.”

• No microwave and paying for local calls.

“The hotel room was clean we stayed there for 3 days but there was a huge problem, there was no micro wave that caused many problem we could not heat up any food and especially if you have children you need a microwave.”

• The staff was very friendly and there was free ample parking.
• I thought there was an initial weak odor of a gym but this was remedied soon.

“This hotel was quite nice with a comfortable bed, a good TV and radio and good food in the restaurant. The clerks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The waiter was a nice guy who took the time to explain some of the finer points of ice hockey to me.”

• The room was attractive and spacious and very clean.
• The restaurant was disappointing mediocre food and overpriced room service menu.

“I travel to Mississauga often on business. The Holiday Inn was better than the other hotels that I have tried there in a similar price range. Very conveniently located. Very clean. The room was nice and big. Service was excellent. Room service is something that I use a lot when I travel, and in this case it's my one significant complaint, because the menu is overpriced, compared the restaurant menu and in relation to the quality of the food. I had salad with roasted chicken. The chicken was Luke warm and tasted like bologna. The crab cakes seemed like the frozen kind that you can get in the supermarket. One morning I custom ordered a simple breakfast off the menu. They were very accommodating and the service was excellent. Other than that, Id recommend planning on finding meals elsewhere in the area, if you don't mind going out.”

• Quiet, even though near highways; staff accommodated request for quiet room.
• Maid had left alarm clock on; staff assigned our room to another so we were awakened frequently in the morning.

• Bathroom was old, small and not properly maintained.

“This hotel needs to be renovated, to maintain the 3 star rating. I was quite disappointed in how poorly maintained the bathroom was.”

“A good place to stay if you have work around Mississauga and/or Oakville. Very conveniently located but do not expect public transportation. Ideal if we have a car at our disposal. The staff is very friendly and keen to be hospitable.”

• Clean- room spacious, bathroom spacious. Iron hairdryer... Warm.
• Walls paper thin- hears a couple fighting in the next room and -- we heard too much.

• Friendly, helpful hotel staff and general cleanliness of facility.
• Location was on the line of Oakville and Mississauga. I would have preferred in closer to Toronto.
