• Pretty clean, large bathroom, comfy bed
• Decor is morbid, had to pay a lot to park the car, maid barged in, absolutely nothing around - no restaurants, attractions

“Maybe good for business but not for pleasure. Looks as if Holiday Inn took over an ailing hotel and tried to retrofit it. Overall: a pitiful attempt at finery.”

• Location overlooking Gatineau Park and canals.
• Fitness room hours not open early enough on weekends.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The room was beautiful, non-smoking, and a gorgeous view from the 9th floor. We took advantage of walking in the area, eating out and free street parking. It was a memorable experience. Only complaint was that the fitness room was not open early enough on the weekends and we were unable to use it.”

• It was clean, spacious with a good view.
• The parking and the staff.

“The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean and nice. However, the staff was unaccommodating or ill-informed about hotel policies for parking. We got a parking ticket from the city. When we spoke with the manager, he told us he would reimburse us for the ticket but couldn't help us with the parking. We had to make our own arrangements even though there were some parking spots at the hotel's discretion. I just felt the staff was very unaccommodating in general.”

• The location and price was great also the parking was only $10/day for in city in & out.
• Not much of a restaurant, didn't really go in.

“For the price and location, this hotel was perfect for a visit to Ottawa, parking also was good. Rooms were clean and had all items needed.”

“This hotel was once a hot spot, that's when it was awarded it star rating. This place needs help and friendlier staff to keep it alive. The sixth room-key finally opened the door!”

• Rooms better than a similar star level hotel that we stayed in Ottawa.

“Nice clean rooms with amenities that you expect from a 3 star hotel. Beautiful lobby, parking arrangements more convenient than you would expect in Ottawa. Not very far from downtown.”
