“We got the Polynesian room for two nights. We arrived Friday at noon but could not check in till 4 PM. No help with our luggage and for a luxury hotel, and bell men everywhere, you would think they would at least offer. Room was neat, 4 post bed, not comfy, bunk beds and not comfy at all, a couch, comfy. small TV, hard to use the remote, small fridge, no microwave. Wine glasses were dirty with finger prints, towels had black hairs all over them, and coffee pot was not good enough for one person. Its a two cup one, and they only give you two mugs, 2 sugars, 2 tea, 2 cream. what a joke when there are 3 adults staying and two kids. Rooms service, I am sure would have been nice only they wanted 15 bucks for 2 eggs, 2 bacon, hash browns. They wanted 8 bucks for a one liter of milk and 60/80 bucks for a 750ml of cheap booze that is 20 bucks in the store. Terrible situation all around for a luxury hotel that is old and needs major updating and maids that actually clean. I would have enjoyed the super 8 better, at least there you get free internet access, more then 40 channels on a 27 inch TV, and a complimentary breakfast. I would never stay here, nor would I recommend you stay here.”

“Our stay at Fantasyland was pretty good overall. The location was right inside the West Edmonton mall, which was a major plus. You could walk around when the mall was closed, inside the mall. We had a theme room, Polynesian theme. It was basically kind of a Hawaiian theme. A nice Jacuzzi with a waterfall, a huge 4-post Polynesian-theme bed. Very comfortable! We ordered room service food. Nachos with all sorts of dips, and other items. Very good food! But, as a newbie to the area, we had never been there before, the location was a little hard to find. Awesome pool, and hot tub. Internet access, all we needed to do to get was ask at the front desk, and they gave us a jack. Great service!”

“I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon in august 2005. Our theme room was the Polynesian room. The dimmed lighting in the room was adding to the romantic atmosphere of a Polynesian island retreat. The Jacuzzi was beside the bed and filled quite fast, noisy but interesting to see waterfall from the faux mountain. The mirrors above the bed added to the honeymoon state. Dresser and desk was good size as cart TV was decent size. Bathroom decor was a little dated, and no exhaust fan which can spell disaster if you ate beans! Carpet felt a little dingy. Bar fridge was stocked with overpriced liquor and snacks. Bed was elevated, continuing with the Polynesian theme. Our hotel room view was good as it looked out into the residential area. Reception is a large area; however the smoke from the cigarettes waffled in too much. Not too much seating and the entrance doubles as another one of the many mall entrances. The decor does need an update as there is too much 80's shiny, dented brass throughout. Floor and wall colors are bland marble look-alike. .”
