“There was a room mix up when I checked in and the staff upgraded me to a junior suite at no extra charge. They were courteous and resolved the problem immediately. The location is pretty far from Downtown Banff, which made walking a chore. But, overall, it was a good place to stay.”

“Overall, the hotel was very good. It was well located (approx. l mile from the town center). The first night, we were in a room that was in an adjacent building and noisy. However, the next morning, after complaining, we were given a better room in the main complex.”

“This was definitely not a two star hotel. The exterior and lobby were first rate, befitting an upscale hotel. They definitely cheapened out on the interior, however. The hallway floor boomed when anyone walked on it, even without shoes on. The carpet was stained, and there was no air conditioning (summer temperatures were close to 90 degrees F during our stay). Parking was very tight, and in our case it was located in an alley behind the building without room to turn around. The lobby area feels like it could be a Marriott, but the room definitely felt more like a basic Days Inn (and not the remodeled 5-Sunburst ones either).”

“This hotel is run-down. Stained ceilings, peeling paint, no air conditioning, poor safety in rooms, poor parking. Bed was at least clean and comfortable. Would not ever stay here again in it is present condition.”

“The hotel met our expectations. The room was clean, with good quality furniture and a comfortable bed. The view was great, and although the hotel location was not right downtown, it was within walking distance, and also right on the bus route. The employees were excellent, and all went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. We did not eat at the restaurant for dinner, but did have a light breakfast there. However the taste was less than stellar. I would have actually been happier with McDonalds fruit and yogurt. The muffin was very good and the coffee was excellent.”

“Although the hotel was far from plush, it was clean and comfortable. It was an odd experience because the beds had the plush tops, there was a coffee maker, and free hi speed internet, nice local soaps and hair care items, but the hotel was dingy looking. The carpets are thin and have stains everywhere - I imagine a lot of skiers used it in the winter months and there were lots of parties in the hall. The rooms are lit by lamps only, no window other then the slider to a tiny deck overlooking a restaurant (and they you) and bathroom is cozy but functional. I'd recommend it for anyone just sleeping at the hotel to see all the amazing sights the area has to offer, but not if you were going to be staying in the room a lot.”

“This was the worst place I have ever stayed at. First they booked us into a room we did not ask for. The room had dust bunnies everywhere and dead skin cells on the back of the chairs and beds built up. Then you here him partying with the customers mocking you. Do not stay here if you have kids. The pool had bowel movement in it and the hot pool had vomit. They never did close them down for a day to clean them. Not a nice place at all unless you like to party like crazy all night with no limits!”

“This hotel is not situated at a walking distance from downtown. However this is a very quiet place. The service was excellent. The coffee maker needed to be replaced and it has been done quickly. The staff is great: people are warm, welcoming and provide excellent service. High standard of cleanliness.”

“We really liked the upgraded room but probably wouldn't have liked the standard room very much since it would have only had double size beds.”

“Good budget hotel. On the end of the main road so a good hike to get downtown (there is a bus stop right in front of hotel). Good sized clean room. I would stay here again.”

“This hotel is one of the furthest from the downtown district. Although the weather was probably warmer than normal, there was no air conditioning forcing us to sleep with the balcony doors open. The balconies are right next to each other with only a short wall separating them. I made an enquiry with the desk clerk about an air conditioned room and he replied snidely that they didn't have air conditioning. The ice bucket was also missing the plastic liner, the desk clerk told me that they didn't provide plastic liners but the next day a liner was left after the maid service left. Small point but the hotel did not meet my expectations. I won't be staying there again.”
