• The location. We could walk to the station for our train early morning train.
• The toilet was in the shower!

“For the price and Rome I guess you can't expect too much. I can even accept the toilet being in the shower (multitasking possible). But the room was way too small for two people and the air conditioning didn't work properly. The breakfast was not bad.”

• Really run down and no good amenities.

“The room we had was terrible really small cramped paper peeling off walls. Furniture worn out. When it rained, the room was not a place you wanted to be in. Noisy AC with rain and condensation dripping from AC above onto ours and making constant tapping noise. Not really any lounge to go in. Breakfasts really taken outside on sort of roof with umbrellas and wet when raining. Bathroom fitting worn out and some broken. We changed room later after we complained and next room was better so beware of some rooms. Breakfast was ok, staff friendly but unable to help with quick room change. Some we were offered were worse than the one we had. Safe not attached to anything so pointless. Basically this spoilt the holiday and we would never go back there. The only good thing was it was quite central, but restaurants near here were rubbish anyway and rip off.”

• Close to termini station.
• Dirty, don't speak English as advertised, mold in shower, old, ants in.

“Staff doesn't speak English as advertised, they cut off your A/C if not in room, dirt on bathroom sink and shelf, mold in shower. The "restaurant / bar" is a joke! There was ant's in the orange juice. The elevator/lift is also a joke. It is on a busy street and has very loud street noise, also the walls are thin and you hear everything going on in the hotel. The TV is tiny and all in Italian with no other language options even to purchase. Can not place a call from your room, you had to go down to main desk to call and have your conversation in the lobby. Bed was uncomfortable, thin mattress, no alarm clock. Staff was uppity. We would never go back EVER!! Keep looking for another hotel!!!”

• It is near the Termini.
• They over-book and send guests to a run-down hotel.

“They took our payment to hold the room and then sent us to a "sister hotel" Hotel Republica, which had peeling wallpaper and paint, a broken lock on the door and looked like a run-down dormitory room. It was a horrible experience and ruined our last night in Rome.”

• Clean, convenient location, friendly staff.
• Marble floors in rooms transmitted furniture noises.

“This hotel is a good value. Convenient to the metro station and train station so travel is easy. Very clean, linen and sheets changed daily. Breakfast good. Room safe is a joke, ours in closet not attached to anything. No airport shuttle as advertised but with express train running between terminal(10 minute walk away) and airport, none needed.”

• Great location and friendly staff.
• Tile floors give feeling of dirt, not a good part of town.

• Advertises a bar but doesn't have one

“Hotel clean and tidy. Location superb only five minutes walk from central termini. Staff friendly and helpfull. Hotel serves buffet style breakfast which should suit the majority of visitors. There are plenty of small bars and eating places in streets near the hotel. Lots of shopping areas within walking distance of the hotel. This is a good hotel to use as a base for sightseeing trips in Rome. I would certainly use this hotel again and would reccomend it to others.”
