  • Fantastic front desk support and beautiful rooms.

“Excellent rooms, exceptional front desk and great location.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[2] • Location:[4]

  • Trendy decor, nicely redesigned rooms.
  • Major flaws in service, far from almost everything.

“Staff gets only 3/10 because front desk lied to me (made up a story) to explain why our executive room housekeeping had not been done 2 days in a row. Front desk is also to blame for key coding error at check-in, then a smoking room. As far as location, it is a 10 minutes walk to the Arc-de-triomphe. The rest is too far to walk. There is a Metro station, however, located nearby and the Palais des Congres is just across the street. Beware of fees. This was a 10 day stay in an executive room booked directly through the hotel's website. Stay there if you feel rich!”

“Staff gets only 3/10 because front desk lied to me (made up a story) to explain why our executive room housekeeping had not been done 2 days in a row. Front desk is also to blame for key coding error at check-in, then they assigned us a smoking room. If I'd be the manager, I would be embarrassed to assign a smoking room to a medical doctor. It was contrary to our instructions at check-in and to our reservations. As far as location, it is a 10 minutes walk to the Arc-de-triomphe. The rest is too far to walk. There is a Metro station however located nearby and the Palais des Congres is just across the street. Beware of fees. • Super friendly and helpful concierge staff.
  • The toilet in the small room.

“The staff was wonderful and very helpful, especially the concierge staff. The location was very good. The rooms were clean but small (as one often finds in Europe). The jazz club downstairs was wonderful.”

  • Beautiful building and room and great location.
  • Our room was so loud with a humming vibration noise we literally could not sleep.

“The number one criteria in any room, any quality is the ability for a good sleep. Also, the previous occupants left a pair of trousers hanging in the closet, which was creepy, and despite two calls, no one came to retrieve them. There was a half-eaten bowl of something with a spoon in the mini-fridge. None of these were addressed despite informing the front desk. To top it off, they insinuated that because of the low rate we paid, we got what we paid for. This was very insulting and completely unacceptable! This was our first impression of the city of Paris.”

  • Cheap and easy transport to airport with Air France busses in front of hotel.
  • 4 star hotel should have free internet access in all rooms.

“Good location close to subway station and shopping mall open on Sundays.”

  • Location and access to the mail.
  • Some of the rooms are not renovated, the rooms are very small and old.

“Huge hotel, great for business travelers - good access to the main attractions and business areas. Some of the rooms are not renovated. The rooms are very small, old and rusty.”

  • The hotel concierge mailed me my camera that I forgot in the lobby.
  • Construction noise & false information.

“The hotel staff lied and said construction would happen Friday afternoon only. It continued through Saturday evening. Hammering started at 8:30 AM, Jack hammering and electric saw sounds started at 9 AM and went well past 6 PM. Forget any chance at taking a nap. When we arrived, bed had no bed skirt, and no bed cover. Only sheets. Housekeeping and concierge tried to tell us that was how it was suppose to look, but when we proved to them other rooms did not look that way, miraculously, the next day we had a bed that was made the normal way. For a 4 star hotel to have nothing but bed sheets (and stiff, cheap sheets at that)- that is just an embarrassment. For the staff to lie repeatedly about what should be expected, well, what can we say? Do not stay here.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Great location next to Champs d'Elysee.
  • Massive construction and non stop noise!

“Although the construction at the hotel was beyond anything I've ever experienced, the staff did their best to accommodate us and changed our room (twice). Once the construction ends this will be a lovely hotel again. Until that time, it should be avoided at all costs.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • The location of the hotel and the room itself.
  • They seemed to have a hard time finding a non-smoking room.

“The hotel was beautiful inside and unassuming outside. Unfortunately, there was construction going on the second and sixth floors. There were 8 floors. Instead of putting us on the 4th, 5th or 8th floor they stuck us on the 3rd floor. I kid you not it sounded as if the construction worker was going to come through our floor with the hammer-drill. The noise was unbearable at times. When the work is over I am sure it will return to being a beautiful hotel.”

  • Efficient staff.
  • Undergoing construction.

“The Meridian Etoile was undergoing major renovations and we had to cope with construction noise all day long starting early each morning.”

  • Modern, clean bathroom, flat screen TV was nice,
  • Would have preferred a queen bed instead of twins pushed together. Needed more American TV. Heard workers in alley early every morning.

“It was Metro close, modern hotel with everything a traveler might want. Clean. Air France shuttle right across the street.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • The views on either side were beautiful. Nice bathrooms!
  • Rather dirty. Worn carpets, smells of smoke.

“I can't say I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel's location is not bad, just west of the Arc. I always encountered a long line when needing to get to the front desk (checking in & out, needing a new key). I asked for a non-smoking room, but I got a smoking room. I asked to be moved to a non-smoking room, and I got another smoking room. After that, I gave up. Not a horrible hotel, but there's no way I would give it 4 stars. Despite the hiccups, the hotel staff is nevertheless very friendly.”

  • Good room size for price in Europe.
  • Restaurant menu selection a little limited.

“This was a great hotel for the price, especially in France. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, despite our poor attempts at French. The hotel is a very nice and short walk from the city center. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Bordeaux.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • Good location.
  • Room very small, a little shabby. Amenities very expensive, housekeeping had to be requested to service room.

“This hotel was a disappointment. The room was small and showed a lot of wear and tear (peeling wallpaper, chipped paint, etc). Housekeeping did not make up the room during the day, and we had to request that the room be made up. There were no complimentary in-room amenities, such as coffee, or water, or internet, and the prices for internet in particular were very high.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Great and easy transportation to/from airport.
  • Insanely expensive internet, jazz bar.

“Clean, great location, nice staff. Kind of plain and no amenities for a 4-star, but that's Europe for you.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[3]

  • Close to bus stop to airport. Helpful concierges.
  • Dated room. Dated linens. Dark, cramped room. No views. Too far from Champs Elysees so your zones are too broad.

“Did not feel this hotel was 4 star quality. I had stayed in a 3 star hotel with better beds, quality duvets and linens and better location. This is not as good as 4 star across the street. No views. Long lines at reception. Faulty room cards. They may have given me worst room in house, but truly I have seen 2 and 3 star rooms that were much nicer than this one. Unacceptable for a 4 star rating in my opinion.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[5] • Location:[4]

  • The concierges were all very nice and helpful. Close to bus stop to airport.
  • Room was dirty, dark, dated and very cramped. Bathroom resembled airplane facilities.

“The room quality was awful. Views awful. Location convenient to bus to airport, but farther from the Champs Elysees than your area category would have led to believe. The receptionist was not well informed. Long waits. Room cards dysfunctional. Not even close to the quality of a 3 star hotel I stayed in the St Germaine area. Beds are cheap, linens cheap and old and dated. Very displeased with this hotel stay.”
