“They will try to charge you the fee upon checkout even after they assured you that you won't get charged it. They will blame the "misunderstanding" on the incompetence of the person who checked you in, but they will still try to charge you on checkout day even if you don¿t sign the bill. Rooms were exactly as described by the negative reviews. We got upgraded to suites after we complained. The thing to note is that hotel security is not good. Lots of hotel guests are construction workers, not people on vacation. Room keys also get demagnetized and need to be reset. All guests had to do was provide the room # to reset the key, so technically, you could get into any room you want. One day a man somehow opened the doors to our room and then said he had the wrong room. Not sure if he thought we would be gone and wanted to steal stuff. Our room was an easy target given that it was ground floor outside. I would definitely spend more money to stay somewhere else.”

“The hotel has good location and that is where good things end. The hotel staff is very unfriendly. The elevators do not work most of the time. The bath rooms are very small. The rooms are not cleaned and very dirty. The whirlpool in the hotel is not what anyone would expect. It is a baby pool. Also, the hotel charges per person per night for maid and energy charges. My room was not cleaned at all. The check in is really slow. The manager Mr. Kemp is really very rude and is of no help. The hotel charges money for maid services but refuses to provide maid services. I had to call front desk 6 times in 3 hours to get towels in my room as there were no towels in the room. The room had bad plumbing and so the sink was clogged up. There was no toilet paper holder so you had to keep the toilet paper on the counter. I will not advise anyone to even consider this hotel.”

“Check in is late, at 4PM -- but even then we had to wait an extra hour because the room wasn't ready. When we finally went up, the room hadn't been cleaned at all. The staff was very unfriendly and we were given very little cooperation. Upon arrival we're informed that there is an extra fee to pay (cleaning and energy fee or something like that) at $9.95 per person per night, what added an extra $100 to our vacation. The elevator wasn't working half of the time. We had to leave a note to housekeepers to have sheets changed. On Sunday night the hotel decides to host a poolside party from 9PM to 3AM, with music at a very high volume, with no consideration of guests who needed to sleep that night. The music in my room felt like inside a disco. The answer of the front desk staff was that if I couldn't sleep I should talk to the manager. Entrance to the hotel is poorly signaled, and is on the side, not the front where you might look for it. Pools look good but towels aren't available when there's no staff at the pool (right when you need them). "Spa tub" is not such, really. Restaurant is OK, gift shops OK too. The best is location: couple minute walk to the Fish Fry (best place to check the great local cuisine), and a 10 minute walk to downtown and ferry to Paradise Island (ferry is $3 each way). If you know where you're going and have no ambitions, this hotel is good for the money --provided there's no party when you need to sleep.”

“I was not very pleased with the service of the hotel. We asked for the remote for the tv the first night and every other night but never recieved it. It also took us an hour to check in. The customer service was terrible.”

“The Nassau Palm Resort is a place i will recommend to everyone. Its location is very convenient and the rooms are neat and spacious. I however think some of the lobbies and elevator areas need a little more care.”

“I was very pleased with the hotel. It was family friendly & in a pretty good location, close to downtown. The food in Nassau was at a higher cost than I expected but the hotel was worth the money I paid for it. However, I was upset when I arrive & found that there were more taxes I had to pay the hotel though. The swimming pools were still a little chilly but very clean. Friendly staff also.”

“The bathroom was too small. We did not call room service, but seemed that front-desk folks retire at night quite early. I had to hold for 3-4 minutes to get them answer my call (for setting up a wake-up call). The hotel is located very close to downtown Nassau (straw market). Overall the stay was okay.”
