Melia Milano 0-star

Via Masaccio 19, Milan, Italy

Milan, which has always been considered the economic capital of Italy, is a city that begs to be discovered: elegant stores, the Cathedral, Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, the Sforzesco Castle, the Alla Scala Theatre, the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church, with the beautiful Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper", along with gardens and churches that date back to historic periods.[more]

  • Gorgeous decor, very close to Lotto metro stop.
  • Very few restaurants and shops in the immediate neighborhood.

“For a quieter stay in Milan, this gorgeous 5 star hotel is ideally situated away from the major tourist sites, but conveniently within walking distance of the Lotto metro stop on the red line. Minutes to the Duomo, and a short trip to central station with a metro transfer to the green line.”

  • Cleanliness/style of the room.
  • Neither parking nor breakfast is included.

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and loved the room. It was easy to get to central Milan on the Metro. Parking was challenging. The structure by the hotel is very expensive and, only speaking English, it was hard to figure out street parking. You only have to pay if a convention is in town! Go figure...”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[1]

  • Rooms. Lobby.
  • Location-not central.

“Newer hotel with luxurious appointments but long distance from downtown. Need car or must take subway to get anywhere. Mostly a lower-middle class residential area.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[6]

  • Very nice and luxurious facilities.
  • In a dodgy area that required a 20 minute subway ride from the heart of town.

“While the lobby and the facilities were very luxurious at the Melia Milano, it was a little more out of the way than I would have preferred. There were only a couple of quite expensive restaurants in the area and it was very residential. It was conveniently located next to the subway stop, though.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Rooms were nicely appointed and clean. Good fitness center. Rooms big for Europe. Generally helpful staff.
  • Parking is tight. One security guard was rude about parking during our check in.

“Decent location near subway station, grocery store, and several restaurants within walking distance. Near a decent park and Internet and phone center. Staff was generally friendly and helpful to our requests. Impressive lobby and nice bar area. Room had mini-bar, hairdryer, safe, Internet access (for a fee), comfortable beds, desk, and two chairs. We were very happy with the stay and would love to get this hotel again.”

  • Very nice rooms.
  • Location a bit out of the way.

“Very nice hotel but a bit outside of the city center. Metro station close and a quick trip to all major sights. Clean and spacious rooms.”

  • Beautiful lobby and rooms.
  • Front desk could have been more courteous.

“Great location right off of Metro stop. Beautiful grand lobby and spacious rooms. Bathrooms were gorgeous. Front desk employees could have been a little more friendly. Overall, a great stay.”
