  • So many people from so many different countries.
  • It wasn't that close to anything of note.

“Great hotel, right next to the American Embassy. Price was worth it.”

  • The hotel staff is very attentive and makes your stay very comfortable.
  • New furniture in the rooms and plasma TV's.

“The hotel is in a very safe and convenient location in the city. The hotel staff is there for the guest's needs at all times. In the middle of the night, the bellman went to the store and bought me some medication I needed.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • The location continues to be superb.
  • Traffic outside of the hotel is awful most of the time. It takes a lot of time to get to lobby.

“The Maria Isabel Sheraton is so, so close to many of the destinations sought by business traveler. The hotel is comfortable and accommodations are very, very good. The staff makes up for whatever shortcomings the hotel might have. I Experienced two power outages during my one night stay, but fortunately did not last too long.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Rooms were large, clean with comfortable king size bed and nice amenities.
  • The hotel taxi charged extra for picking us up from a restaurant w/o telling us in advance.

“An attractive upscale hotel conveniently located near the Zona Rosa and the subway. The staff is very helpful, the deli in the hotel was convenient and the food was very good.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Lobby and facilities like pool very nice, though I did not have time to see or use the pool. Buffet breakfast very nice.
  • The room was nice, clean and reasonably decorated though felt somewhat cramped for a luxury hotel. Nonetheless, it met the standards for the price.

“All staff friendly and helpful. Management extended them to be gracious. Breakfast buffet was lovely and the hotel offered facilities such as a pool that I did not have a chance to see or use. My only negative was feeling the room could have been a little larger.”

  • Free internet at lobby bar for the price of a drink with good jazz and local music.
  • Fitness center costs extra.

“Best hotel for visit to the fabulous Anthropology Museum in Mexico City. Concierge can call less expensive taxi cabs than the luxury ones awaiting you out the front door (save 1/3 each trip).”

  • The location.
  • The customer service.

“The rooms were shabby, the carpet was extremely worn and the hotel staff was dreadful. We had to switch rooms three times and our third room was only mediocre.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Location.
  • Room was awkward. Only had a room with two double beds available or one queen size bed.

“The older part of the hotel is not as nice as the newer part of the hotel. You might not get a view in the newer part, but the rooms are more comfortable.”

  • Location.
  • This hotel was over rated. Dirty and run down.

“I checked in, looked at 3 rooms in this run down, old hotel. I checked out within 30 minutes and went to Nikko and paid full price rather than stay here. The rooms smelled like dirty feet and mold. Paint was peeling from the walls in one room they showed me. It's not even a 3 star hotel!”

  • Room size and cleanliness.

“Asked for non-smoking room, but got a smoking room. When asked staff, they insisted I already had a non-smoking room. Except that the room had 3 ash trays and matches. Also you could smell it in the room.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • The design of the rooms and public spaces was very attractive.
  • The room was not very large.

“Some of the services in the hotel were overpriced by any standard. The internet was US $17 per day (US $9 for 3 hours) and I was charged about US $107 for a 14 page fax. When I told the front desk that I believed that the fax took about 10 minutes, rather than 15 (fax charges were calculated by minute, rather than by page) and that I had waited while the fax was sent, it refused to adjust the price.”

  • not so good quality room as compared to other equivalent rooms

“Good location, good overall hotel appearance. Room quality could have been better. Old furniture, dirty walls, scratch doors, overall room looked rundown. Not what you expect from a 4 start hotel (even at a discounted price)”

  • Good location and nice hotel.
  • The staff no too friendly.

“I liked the hotel, nice location, but I think needs some changes in the furniture located in each floor (when you get off from the elevator), it looks old.”
