• I was glad to go to the hotel.
• I was glad to leave.

“The hotel has staff that work too hard for little money and the uniform is boring. The bathroom is very clean from the housekeepers. I only stayed one week and lost a lot of weigh from the food. I had to take McDonald's food to eat in secret. My room walls were not soundproof. I could hear the guest next door swearing and shouting at his wife. My sheet were not clean and I found the heater not working. The shower was cold, and there was no soap. Chicago hotels are so much better then the Marriott, but I did like one member of staff.”

• Comfy bed.
• Surrounded by enormous construction zone.

“Not many bonuses or luxuries at this hotel - tidy/comfy room but dirty windows and noise from neighboring rooms. Breakfast included, but not very good. Internet access only available at astronomical rates. Hotel is (in summer 2008) adjacent to an enormous urban construction zone. Somewhat removed from the city center and restaurants, the area around this hotel is deserted at night.”

• Beds were super comfortable and superior quality bedding.

“Overall we had a good experience however, there was a fire alarm in the morning (legitimate, basement fire) and there did not seem to be enough organized control outdoors when it came to informing the masses. The loudhailers did not seem to work and people could not hear enough to be sufficiently informed.”

• Swimming pool, sauna. Clean. Ok location. Price.
• Staff - terrible attitude, unhelpful, inefficient.

“Needs a new GM: the staff, from start to finish and from all departments, were uniformly inept, unhelpful and unaccommodating. Not up to Marriott or 4 star standards and a pretty depressing place to be.”

• Very clean and nice.
• Toilet tissue was very rough!

• Well-lit hallways. Made the hotel's interior feel modern and bright.
• Had to pay rather high price for internet use in business center.

“Clean, well lit, modern, upscale hotel near the heart of Bristol. Within 10-15 minutes walking distance to Bristol Temple Meads train station and within 10-15 minutes walking distance to the bus station. Friendly staff and responsive service. A restful stay for weary travelers.”

• Nice entrance and good, clean rooms.
• Hotel placed us on a floor with a wedding party very noisy.

“The hotel was nice and clean. The staff seemed to have been flown in from abroad. They were very nice, but didn't seem to grasp simple concepts. I stayed for 2 nights, but had to check out and then in again for the 2nd night. Various things were charged to the room which shouldn't have been. Equally, things which I should have been charged for weren't.”

• Very clean, and much like the hotels in USA.
• I didn't like that the hotel made a taxi reservation that cost $20 more than the ride to the hotel cost us originally.

“The hotel was very clean, but not located close to the airport, which is what we needed. The ride to the hotel from the airport was $40, and the ride back from the hotel to the airport was $60. So consequently, we paid almost as much in transportation costs as we did for the hotel. Stay away from the UK generally. It is way to expensive for Americans right now.”

• Big, spacious rooms, friendly yet laid back staff.
• Smoky common areas.

“Great hotel for one night, would have happily stayed two or more. Very relaxing and restful in quite and busy city. An easy walk or bus ride to most attractions and shopping, bus to train station, then on to airport VERY easily accessible a block from hotel.”

“It is in a great location with superb amenities. The leisure center excellent. We had a problem with the phone not working . Management was quick to resolve with grace.”

• Nice rooms, decent staff.
• Location is not the best, very quiet in the evening.

“Outside of hotel doesn't look too appealing, but interior and rooms are well appointed. It's to the East side of city center; while it's steps from the Broad Mead shopping street, it is about 10 minutes walk through the Castle Park to most attractions.”
