“My husband and I went there for our honeymoon a couple weeks ago. The food was terrific, the palace itself was gorgeous and extremely clean although I feel that we did not get to do any of the things that we went to do. We constantly got the run around from the tour guys. I found guest services were extremely rude and the beach was full of seaweed. We did not get to experience swimming in the water at all. The pool was very nice but you can swim in a pool anywhere. We flew a long way to just sit at a bar and swim in a pool. We made the best of our honeymoon and had a lot of fun but did not get what we expected. The Casino is tiny and in Spanish so you can't understand anything that is happening. There is also no nightlife what so ever. I don't see us going back! I also found it was extremely rude for the transportation driver that we paid for to pick us up from the airport had the audacity to say thanks for the tip guys, when we didn't tip him! We were told gratuity was included. This is a nice place if you are looking for somewhere quiet and laid back or if you are retired.”

“I went to moon palace in May 07 with my fiancée and her family. This was my second visit abroad, and upon arrival I was blown away. I could not fault this resort in any way it was superb. The food is out of this world. The staff is too helpful! The entertainment guys were excellent and the weather was quality, pure sunshine for 2 weeks! We stayed on the Nizuc side and I feel this was the better side as it was full of Americans on the sunrise side (very loud and obnoxious). It was pure luxury and value for money was second to none. I actually felt we should have paid more for what we got out of the holiday. After returning home we went straight to the travel agents and booked for next year, cant wait.”

“I can't believe anyone had anything negative to say about this stunning place. It was by far the most friendly place, it was clean and the food was a thousand times better than any other hotel, especially all inclusive that I have ever stayed. I read someone said it was bland and repetitive, but there were more restaurants to choose from than there are days in a two week holiday and most dishes we tried were excellent especially in the a la carte restaurants where the service was quick and the staff couldn't do enough for you. It was well worth the money we paid. The pool was lovely and huge so it felt like you were in a different place everyday. The hot tubs in each room where so relaxing and romantic and cleaned every day. there was a huge plasma TV with a good choice of channels. I love traveling and seeing new places and holiday about four times a year and this is the only place so far that I would definitely come back to or recommend.”

“My wife and I went to moon palace last year and liked it, but now that a man was brutally attacked there we won't be returning. They say he'll die from his injuries. The hotel said he fell off his second floor balcony but there's no way. He sustained 4 blows to his head, a serious blow to his back and lost all his belongings. Fell?”

“First week very good second week cleaners couldn't be bothered to do anything, food boring and repetitive, also pressure you into buying a timeshare, excursions out of this world some fib sites to be seen. On the whole a good holiday but wouldn't return or recommend moon palace.”

“This was our first trip to Cancun. The resort was nice, but the beach was not. The water is filled with seaweed and it is a dark, blackish-green in color. We went to the Cancun Palace to swim and enjoy the beach several of the days we were there. Many people enjoy the all inclusive option, it is not our first choice in accommodations but seems to be the option of choice in Mexico. Our food and service was very good. No complaints there. My main complaint, other than the beach, is that while we were out one day, my new sandals were taken out of our room. We notified the management and asked them to check to see if maybe the maid got them mixed in with the laundry. They did but neither housekeeping or laundry could locate any missing sandals. The hotel security came (3 of them) and asked stupid questions (where were your sandals the last time you saw them?) and took meaningless pictures (the now empty spot where my sandals were last seen) and did nothing more. Granted, they are only sandals but we have traveled extensively for years into many countries and although we always make use of the safe I have never had to lock up sandals, even expensive ones such as these. If we were to go to Cancun again, I would not stay at Moon Palace. Take a look at Cancun Palace instead and take cheap shoes!”

“We stayed here during our Honeymoon. The food was great and the service was second to none. The rooms were very clean. We saw them clean the rooms by washing the complete floor on their hands and knees. The only problem I had with this resort was the beach. At the time we went ( Mid Sept '01), the beach was filled with seaweed and we had to go to the other Palace resorts to swim in clear water. But this was an amazing experience. Easy in/Out of the resort by use of the free bus transport.”
