  • Great food, courteous and helpful staff, Jacuzzi in the room.
  • People trying to get you to buy vacations and other items in the lobby.

“I absolutely LOVE the Moon Palace. The food is excellent. The staff are polite, courteous, and very helpful. I enjoy the pool - it is HUGE! You can swim just about from one end of the hotel to the other under bridges; it was fun! The beach does have seaweed- big deal. We have stayed 'in town' before and enjoy Moon Palace much more since its more out of the way, not so crowded, etc. I like their gift shop also which had interesting things at a reasonable price. I can't wait to go back.”

  • Wait staff is very courteous, can visit any palace, resort with band.
  • Wish the pool was heated in the winter months.

“We were there late January. We had a great time. The liquor is the best you can find. The jacuzzi suites are wonderful and the food is very good. Especially the Italian restaurant at the Golf course. It's only a 10-15 minute ride to/from the airport and the standard and only response from any staff is: 'It's a pleasure to serve you'. We have been there 6 times and love the spa treatments, food, golf course, pool/beach activities and excursions. We plan on going back over and over. The beach has some seaweed because the government will not allow Moon palace to remove it. My wife loves the sushi!”

  • Room: liquor in the room, in-room jacuzzi, premium shampoos.
  • Food, other guests, beach, drunken teenagers.

“When our flight was canceled after 7 nights at the Barcelo in Riviera Maya we went to the Moon Palace. I'll start with the positive. Our rooms was newly remodeled and beautiful with great artwork, jacuzzi in the room, and even Biosilk shampoos/lotions. It also had liquors in the rooms in addition to the usual selection of beer and soft drinks. The staff was also very helpful. Unfortunately, the positives end there. Admittedly, I am fairly picky, but the food was wholly unimpressive. I would compare it to a Ryan's or Golden Corral buffet, only worse. The buffet was sub-par, and the sushi and Japanese food were almost inedible. The resort was filled with teenagers trying to get the bartenders to give them booze, the latter of which were then publicly reprimanded if they did. After walking through a frigid lobby, two forty-something men yelled at me. This seemed to be somewhat typical of the guests at this resort. There were almost no palm trees, the beach was covered in seaweed, and the swimming pools left something to be desired. To sum it up, the room was fantastic, but the food was bad, and the guests were worse.”

  • The palace itself was gorgeous and extremely clean.
  • We made the best of our honeymoon and had a lot of fun but did not get what we expected at all. I don't see us ever going back!

“My husband and I went there for our honeymoon a couple weeks ago. The food was terrific, the palace itself was gorgeous and extremely clean although I feel that we did not get to do any of the things that we went to do. We constantly got the run around from the tour guys. I found guest services were extremely rude and the beach was full of seaweed. We did not get to experience swimming in the water at all. The pool was very nice but you can swim in a pool anywhere. We flew a long way to just sit at a bar and swim in a pool. We made the best of our honeymoon and had a lot of fun but did not get what we expected. The Casino is tiny and in Spanish so you can't understand anything that is happening. There is also no nightlife what so ever. I don't see us going back! I also found it was extremely rude for the transportation driver that we paid for to pick us up from the airport had the audacity to say thanks for the tip guys, when we didn't tip him! We were told gratuity was included. This is a nice place if you are looking for somewhere quiet and laid back or if you are retired.”

  • I love moon palace cant fault it.
  • Had to come home.

“I went to moon palace in May 07 with my fiancée and her family. This was my second visit abroad, and upon arrival I was blown away. I could not fault this resort in any way it was superb. The food is out of this world. The staff is too helpful! The entertainment guys were excellent and the weather was quality, pure sunshine for 2 weeks! We stayed on the Nizuc side and I feel this was the better side as it was full of Americans on the sunrise side (very loud and obnoxious). It was pure luxury and value for money was second to none. I actually felt we should have paid more for what we got out of the holiday. After returning home we went straight to the travel agents and booked for next year, cant wait.”

  • Food is delicious and served 24hrs a day including room service in all inclusive.
  • Far from the main Cancun nightlife if you want clubs every night.

“I can't believe anyone had anything negative to say about this stunning place. It was by far the most friendly place, it was clean and the food was a thousand times better than any other hotel, especially all inclusive that I have ever stayed. I read someone said it was bland and repetitive, but there were more restaurants to choose from than there are days in a two week holiday and most dishes we tried were excellent especially in the a la carte restaurants where the service was quick and the staff couldn't do enough for you. It was well worth the money we paid. The pool was lovely and huge so it felt like you were in a different place everyday. The hot tubs in each room where so relaxing and romantic and cleaned every day. there was a huge plasma TV with a good choice of channels. I love traveling and seeing new places and holiday about four times a year and this is the only place so far that I would definitely come back to or recommend.”

  • Beautiful view.
  • Security abuses their powers.

“My wife and I went to moon palace last year and liked it, but now that a man was brutally attacked there we won't be returning. They say he'll die from his injuries. The hotel said he fell off his second floor balcony but there's no way. He sustained 4 blows to his head, a serious blow to his back and lost all his belongings. Fell?”

  • Excursions vigor. Staff good, very clean around hotel.
  • Not hardly enough entertainment, not enough seating around entertainment, cleaners for rooms not good,

“First week very good second week cleaners couldn't be bothered to do anything, food boring and repetitive, also pressure you into buying a timeshare, excursions out of this world some fib sites to be seen. On the whole a good holiday but wouldn't return or recommend moon palace.”
