• Very friendly staff.
• Hotel looked better in pictures than in reality.

“Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, food was average. The beach area was a deception. there was almost no beach and once in the water, it was very rocky, almost painful to go in the water without shoes.”

“The interior of the hotel and pool areas were fine. The restaurants were a real disappointment. Poor quality and selection including Buffet. Most disappointing was the condition of the beach. The condition was the result of a hurricane from several years ago and not a seasonal change due to recent weather. Will not stay.”

• Made multiple requests to fix things, weren't taken care of.

“The Omni was great for a first-time experience in Cancun, but I don't think we'll be back. I think the Omni never quite recovered from the hurricane that wiped out much of Cancun a few years back. The beach was rocky and un-swim able. The pools were always freezing. People outside, enjoying pools and life disappears after 5:00 every day - there are only a handful of people in the restaurants, and the same in the lobby bar. Very dead, and we were by no means looking for a party. The hotel had a very must smell and everything in your room was constantly damp. Toilet never worked properly, and although we asked daily for it to be fixed - we were constantly told they'd send someone up, but it never happened. The food was something to be desired. The buffet restaurant was terrible. Its slop much like you'd remember from grade school cafeterias. DaVinci, the Italian restaurant was fantastic, but it's quite pricey, and if you're all inclusive like we were, they restrict the mount of times you can eat there. The one shining thing from the Omni was the staff. Always friendly, always attentive, and remembered us.”

• The overall service and courtesy of the staff was excellent. The location is great with the transit bus available. The hotel was in very nice condition.
• The big boulders on the beach are dangerous and remains you to be very careful of falling in that particular area.

“The hotel was an excellent condition. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and very pleasant. The location was perfect to catch cabs and public transportation. I truly recommend any person looking for a great vacation-this is the place to stay at.”

• The location was awesome and the ease of the bus system was great and cheap the people at the hotel were very friendly
• the pools were very cold not heated

“Loved the location. The property was very well kept and we had no pressure to go to time share meeting. We were approached once and we declined and no one bothered us again. Loved the restaurant and convince store across the street for our hotel.”

• Everything from start to finish.
• Its never long enough!

“From the location, to the staff, to the restaurants, to the rooms, to the beach, and to the service nothing Ive experience compares. Like stated earlier I've been a club member since 2002 and in the past 6 years I've seen the results of 3 upgrades to the hotel. Obviously management has made their guests enjoyable stay their top priority all while increasing their rates only 3 of the 6 years we have been members. I'm getting married in April and for our honeymoon my Fiancé and I are very excited to spend 2 weeks with the wonderful people and staff of the Omni as were always treated like royalty.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The pool was so dirty that we didn't want to swim in it.

“The Cancun Omni did not meet our expectations of the Omni brand. While the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the main portions of the hotel were clean, we were very disappointed with the outdoor facilities. The pool was so dirty that you could not see your hand under water. The surfaces were slippery. Locations to pickup towels were not well marked. Children's pool did not offer easy access.”

“My husband and my son and I stayed at the Omni Cancun for a week to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. This is our first time in Cancun. We were not at all disappointed with the hotel. Check in was quick, bell staff was polite, housekeeping was very good and the wait staff was very attentive. I would not hesitate staying here again. I wouldn't rate the food as excellent - it was good.”

• Was very satisfied with the overall experience.
• 1/4 staff can not speak english.

“I just got back from this hotel a few weeks and I must say. It was a great resort. Great for singles and couples. I regret going in late June I should have going during mid July, as they are preparing for high season and it looks amazing to what they are planning. This hotel is a must do again.”

• Friendly staffs who were willing to switch an ocean view room for us during our staying.
• Evaluators sometime stuck on lobby without moving.

“Overall we're satisfied with the hotel. The restaurants in the hotel were excellent, but expensive. Receptionists were so nice and they were willing to accommodate with customers at any way possible.”

“Room was more what one would expect in a 3 star hotel. Service was horrible, from the front desk to the maid service. The lobby had no AC and one would sit there just sweating. Room AC was a little better, but not much.”

• Overall appearance and cleanliness of hotel was excellent.
• Poor choice of restaurants which were expensive.

“This hotel is excellent, everything you would expect from a resort or 5 star hotels. The room was beautiful, tiled marble floors were great and the room had a balcony. Unless you want to pay more the rooms will over look the lagoon instead of the ocean but it was still a nice view! The room was cleaned thoroughly each day and is morning beverages were brought on time everyday. I had a problem getting onto the Wi-Fi network but they were very helpful and the problem was resolved. The pools are really nice there are 2 main ones and then a kids pool and Jacuzzi, all are great. There is also a beach side pool and bar. The beach is nice, plenty of loungers but it are quite small due to Hurricane Wilma in 2005 and there are rocks which means that you can't really swim. We did go in to the ocean on one of the days when it was calmer but you have to be careful. Nicer rock free beaches can be found on the north of the hotel zone. Overall we had an excellent time and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Its on the quieter side for Cancun so ideal for families or people who don't want to be woken up at 4 am but party goers.”

• The hotel was lovely, food delicious, views were knock outs, and the staff could not do enough for you.
• Can't think of one thing we didn't like.

“We had a wonderfully relaxed vacation. I took scuba diving lessons on property at our pool, with an excellent instructor and then went out with a group that afternoon for our first 1 tank dive. Everything was handled by the Omni Resort and was seamless. On our last day I slipped by the pool and hurt my wrist. The hotel manager insisted on sending me and my husband to the local private hospital. We were driven by his assistant who stayed with us the whole time and acted as our interpreter. Turns out it was just a sprang as I suspected but the hotel picked up the bill. For our first trip to the Omni Resort in Cancun, we were certainly well taken care of.”

“I would never stay here again, the room was very smelly, a dinner for two people with two entrees and two drinks and two deserts was $100, the quality of the food was horrible, service was slow and not customer oriented, the whole place was at best 3 star mediocre.”
