“Glorfied days in. Clean place. Beds were hard as rocks. Sheets were okay but bed sheet was crap. Everyone smokes in the hotel. Ashtrays everywhere. Staff not to helpful. No beach to speak of. Most of it washed away. pool chairs made out of plastic.”

“We recently went to Cancun for the 11th time; the last 2 visits were at the flamingo hotel. The most positive thing about the flamingo is it's location. It's right in the middle of the hotel zone, across the street from the flamingo mall where you can go to pat O'Brien's, margarita Ville, out back steak house and bubba Gump shrimp co. Restaurants. The many night clubs and restaurants that are so popular in Cancun are either walking distance or a short bus ride away. As for the food at flamingo itself, we found it to be very good, especially at the albatross restaurant. They say that reservations are usually necessary; however, we were able to get in every night that we went there without making reservations. We have read so many negative comments about the food at the flamingo that I felt the need to make this comment myself. We were there in the middle of June 07, so it was a very busy time of the year, but we did not have any problem getting served, or good service. We went the all inclusive route, so tipping wasn't necessary, however we choose to tip the employees and they can't seem to do enough for you. Yes, the beds are a little hard, not the comforts of home, but we have read comments about other hotels in Cancun, and everyone seems to have complaints about the hard beds. Forget about the hard beds, we can't wait to go back again. Take advantage of your loams travel rep at the hotel. They do a superb job helping you plan your day trips to the many great attractions to go to in the Cancun area. Xel-ha, is a must see place for you and your family.”

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I also would not recommend anyone use it too book hotels in the future. The hotel itself is rated by 3 star by themselves, how come it rates it as 4 star then? I also happen to ask the staff why the service is so bad? So there's a reason why my experience was less than exciting at this hotel!”
