• Beautifully decorated rooms, very clean.
• Breakfast was buffet style so if you weren't there at 8.30, your cooked breakfast wasn't fresh. Same applied if you order breakfast in bed, it had obviously been sitting for a while.

“Lovely boutique hotel with individual themed rooms. We stayed in the new contemporary suite for our anniversary and it was really nice. Very clean and the staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is definitely aimed at couples wanting a romantic weekend. If they're aiming at this market though, I think they could do a bit more on the finishing touches, i.e. it would be nice to have nice white bathrobes and matching towels, a mini bar, and if they're really going for the romantic hotel market, then something small like a flower on your pillow, or a heart shaped chocolate or something like that would be a nice touch. We ordered breakfast in bed, and it would have been nice for it to be brought on a silver tray with the silver dome-shaped plate warmers, rather than just another plate on top, which looked a bit naff. It's often the little things like that that just make a hotel slightly more popular than the next one. Having said that, we did have a great time and would go back again. ”

• unusual accommodation and spa bath. staff/cleanliness excellent.
• not enough light in bathroom for shaving. soap/body wash location wrong place for shower. room too small.

“would have liked a little more information on room type as we would have preferred a slightly bigger room. overall a very enjoyable stay and will certainly book again for this year, we have already recommended you to our friends. staff excellent.”
