The Hotel Sacher Wien is located in the city centre, opposite the State Opera, 5 minutes from the "Hofburg" Imperial Palace, close to Ringstrasse. * Hotel Renovations
June 28, 2004 to Sept 12, 2004 - Hotel CLOSED for construction and renovations. Two additional floors of rooms and suites will be added, the Lobby area as well as the Hotel entrance will be refurbished during the construction project.

Also note:
* In preparation for the construction project, 2 cranes will be placed in front and on the side of the hotel from May 10, 2004 to June 27, 2004.
* Change of containers will take place daily in the early morning.
* Besides that this should have no influence on the Hotel Guests stay during this period

Moreover - when the hotel re-opens on September 13, 2004, there will be some guest rooms (one floor closed) some restaurants like the "Rote Bar" restaurant, the Cafe Sacher and banquet and functions rooms. Construction works will be carried out on the top of the hotel with some noise during the day. This phase will be carried out until the end of the year. Soft renovations on the two new floors will continue until August 2005 with no disruption to hotel guests.

There will be no air conditioning available from September 13 until the end of October 2004.[less]
