• The main thing I must point out is thaqt we were given a complimentary upgrade to a sea view and large room this was brilliant.
• Breakfast could be better, not good value. Suggest going out to town. Also Brasserie closed at this time of year, that is part of reason I went! Even in the Hotel, there was nothing to tell us this!

“Good position and our upgraded room was excellent. Not sure if we would be so impressed with inward facing rooms, they look small, and not 5* at all. Needed to know that reviews were available of this hotel, before I booked - only found them on web site after!”

• view, setting, friendly staff
• health spa - disappointing considering the lovely picture on the website, bar staff were not overly quick off the mark and could not do two simple jobs at once! the hotel looked a bit run down and shabby and in desperate need of a re-vamp!

“the setting and view was superb. the hotel itself looked run down and tired and looked like it was in need of some tlc. the health spa was disappointing and the bar staff were not overly efficient as we waited for over half an hour to be served, which would have been quicker if we had ordered at the bar!”

• Spacious everywhere in hotel.Excellent breakfast.Enjoyed leisure facilities.Ample parking available
• Could smell tobacco in room.No-one at guest manager desk.Found empty food wrapper on floor.

“The accommodation and attitude of staff was excellent but did not expect to have to request a non smoking room.The location was close to town and the views were superb.Room was nicely decorated but it was difficult to sleep well as we were situated to what sounded like the main generator.”

• bed size more like a single bed difficult to fit two people in

• Size of the room was excellent as was the view

“WE had booked for three nights. Our original room was extremely poor and was way below a five star hotel standard. When we complained we were told that we would have to pay for an ungrade. We refused but then decided to pay. when we afterwards registered our discontent we were released from the surcharge.
The room we then allocated was quite satisfactory but we had one very miserable night!”
